米国でもそうなんだけど「宗教」と「政治」が混ざると何がマズいかと言うと「宗教を代表する政治家」は「社会問題に苦しむ市民の声」が何十万件あろうと、「その社会問題を解決すること」が「教義」に反する場合、それらの市民の声を完全に無視すること。こういう政治家は「市民の代表」ではない。

I like the separation of the church and the state. I grew up in this culture. However, it is NOT a necessary condition for democracy when you see Europe. Many are rather secular societies although the governments officially support religious institutions. It is interesting (2/2).
