中国でも1950年代からコンクリートには「砼」の字を当てているのですが、これも「人工石」の合字だったりするんですよね。まさか日本でも似た趣の文字が考案されていたとは驚きました。

かつて日本にコンクリが導入された頃、識者によって真剣に検討されたのが、コンクリートを漢字“一文字”で表現するという試みだった。 そして、ある人が提唱したのが、こんな文字だったという。（笑）
