The Assad regime invests a lot of time and energy into inviting artists, influencers, and YouTubers to Syria. They pay them to visit Syria and to tell the world that Syria is a safe country where everything is fine.

Any influencer who visits regime-controlled areas in Syria has certainly done so in order to promote the idea that Syria is safe.

The intention of the regime in promoting this idea is to exacerbate anti-refugee sentiment in countries hosting Syrian refugees and to justify the idea of forcibly deporting them back to Syria in the minds of the electorates and their politicians.
