A cruise ship that marked the return of passenger voyages when it set sail in early July from Galveston has now reported an outbreak of COVID-19 cases, largely among its vaccinated crew members, according to Belize tourism officials.

The ship reported 26 cases among 1,441 crew members and one case among 2,895 passengers before it docked Wednesday in Belize, according to a statement from the Belize Tourism Board.
