Description
SEA Aquarium on Sentosa Island is one of Singapore’s finest family-friendly, all-weather attractions. It contains a total of 45,000,000 liters of water for more than 100,000 marine animals of over 800 species The aquarium comprises 10 zones across 50 different habitats, each one as fascinating as the next. The centerpiece of the Aquarium is the Open Ocean tank with more than 18,000,000 and 50,000 animals For a thrilling observation of majestic apex predators, stroll over to the Shark Seas Habitat, which contains over 200 of these predators including endangered species such as the scalloped hammerhead shark and the aggressive silvertip shark.
SEA Aquarium has the world's largest viewing panel, 36-meter wide and 8.3-meter tall, which is intended to give visitors the feeling of being on the ocean floor. The S.E.A. Aquarium houses the world's largest collection of manta rays, including one of only a few giant oceanic manta rays in captivity. It also showcases 24 Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, Some of the zones are the Red Sea, South China Sea, Strait of Karimata & Java Sea, Bay of Bengal & Laccadive Sea, the lakes of East Africa and the Open Ocean journey. They host a variety of marine animals including endangered and unique animals like Hammerhead Sharks, Giant Moray Eel, Reef Manta Ray, Groupers and Giant Crabs. The S.E.A. Aquarium has more than 50 habitats and also offers exclusive visitor experiences like VIP Tours and Ocean Dreams - a unique overnight experience. The aquarium is best experienced in combination with the Adventure Cove Waterpark which together forms the Marine Life Park.
Tips
- avoid queues by purchasing your tickets online
- The whole aquarium is stroller friendly.
- As this attraction is very popular and crowded, try visiting this attraction on a weekday instead to avoid the crowd. In addition, some aquariums actually have several glass windows for viewing. Instead of fighting with the crowd at the first window, move on to the next window which will be less crowded.
- Remember to check out their feeding time, so you don't' miss the real action
