Seems like Manchin actually gave base Dems a useful model for understanding why “centrism” sucks. Voters told the nyt they saw Conor Lamb as “another Joe Manchin”

won't matter, Dems are going to get savaged in November and the party will blame that on progressives instead of Biden and the cycle will begin anew.

That is absolutely gonna happen, but I feel like for the 1st time we are seeing the voters turn on the establishment/moderate wing of the party and that gives me a glimmer of hope.

Centrism from both side is the same technocratic nightmare we live in today. If you can’t see that a centrism that still breeds the same forever wars and conditions that exasperate poverty in this country isn’t the way then idk what hope you have bud

There’s “another Joe Manchin” in the House named Nancy Pelosi whose dynasty we aim to end.

Just one month until Election Day!
Since mass media continue to obscure the choices before voters by whiting out our impending jungle primary, your help exposing the contrasts can make a big difference!
If voters knew the facts, SF would have ended Pelosi’s dynasty long ago.

This is not good for your party. You think that orge is attractive to the working class? lmfao

The fact that trolls who base their political alignment on superficial characteristics don’t like him I think speaks well of the guy.

He would have been another Manchin, except he wasn’t going to win in November

Manchin is fine for West Virginia, but since when had West Virginia been a role-model for the nation? We need more Democratic senators so that folks like him have less power.

PA isn’t WV. Fetterman would lose in WV by 20 points. Manchin is about the only Dem left in the party that can win in a deep red state. Still baffles me why so many progressives would rather have 2 republicans from WV than Manchin.

this sentence is confusing without context bc it makes it sound like current Senator Joe Manchin III is "another Joe Manchin," which he is.

Relevant that Joe Manchin was elected in West Virginia, where the electoral makeup is redder than in Pennsylvania.

Tell me about it, I only lived in the state my whole life but I watched these out of state super PACs push lamb this primary. This was my general idea to the dem senate primary in a nutshell.

DC punditry and the serious people on the Sunday shows claimed Manchin had to “sell” BBB back home in WV- the inference that it was a really gonna be tough for the powerhouse pol to convince a skeptical electorate ( overwhelmingly for the BBB measures ) to go along with it.

Manufacturing the existence of a “Manchin wing” narrative hardly seems like a path for winning in November when so much is at stake. Many great D candidates with a diversity of policy goals CAN win if we choose unity over division & truth over lies.

As a PA voter I can whole heartedly say voters were 100% right on that, Fetterman ftw
The media could not be played.

This is why Maggie Hassan needed to be primaried. She's going to get clobbered in the midterm.
This is exactly my feelings about Lamb. I was happy to see him win the House seat because that was the best result to expect from that district but we need more progressive Senators

In the USA, being a centrist is being on the middle of the extreme right in foreign policy, social programs while confused about Identity, Race, Sex and Democracy! It’s called an intelligently designed Atheist agenda for the masses
Fetterman is what an actual populist looks like, not like the frauds like Josh Hawley or Tucker Carlson.

Can you talk about populism on todays stream? It seems moving forward that authentic populism is the progressives bread and butter! I’m also trying to be a progressive big business player to fund my 2028 campaign to be unbought and unbossed!
