Mr. "low information" seems to be playing some impressive 10 dimensional chess.
It's called being in the majority and getting to rely on being catered to in the majority block.
Not sure his strategy would have done well for him in the 60s were he Black, in the 90s were he gay, or today if he was a nonreligious woman. Not everyone has this luxury.
(And yes I did reee the whole time while typing this before anyone asks, got my goat straight up)
Drop out of school, get a union dockworker or foreman job, watch the money come in and the bud light flow, retire and watch the sunset as you legitimately made the country better.
I would be so much more productive if I could focus on my actual job and learning new skills or reading new research into things related to compilers/statistics/type-theory.
I can't enjoy myself nerding out obscure stupid shit, I have to pay attention to politics instead.
People actually do research and shit before voting? I just do whatever the old dude with the white hair tells me 😎😎😎
I Google the list of attorney ratings so that I can make an informed decision when voting for judges :(
People in Wyoming have 3x the voting power of California for president.
I’m not sure I like either of these guys.
I’d love a highly educated and informed populace as it would lead to better politicians and policies. Cool meme though, always loved the old wojak
I mean...the only wrong move in a Democracy as a citizen is not voting. The only bad voters are non-Voters (I count people who vote ultra-radical and extremist groups here as well. As their votes are just as bad as no actual vote).
People fought and died so they could vote who they wanted in Power. And we should be grateful of it and take advantage of it.
When elections happened in my country I tried to be smart and inform myself but gave halfway up, looked up on the internet a site which tells you what party is closest to you. And voted that lmao
I've been leaning on the right side Chad for a long while now - except I still get my news from r/neoliberal because it's unavoidable. I don't read the news, I don't listen to debates, I don't scroll on social media like Facebook for outrage and doomerism. I don't read the papers, which are outrage on trash paper format.
When it's election time, both local and general elections, I look at their policies and vote. Most likely, I just straight up vote for UK Lib-Dem.
Then, I proceed with friends and hobbies, because I have a life.
It's a happy lifestyle, amigos. And you deserve it too.
P.S. The only occasion in recent time that I voluntarily look for news is the Ukraine War. It affected me, bro.
I mean, that's where the variance comes from right? If you're into politics chances are you've made your bed in one camp, if you're not chances are your reasons aren't as informed nor as involved, so it's easier for you to switch sides and vote on feeling. I don't imagine that swing voters are those who are that concerned about ideology or policy, just more about how much they like the candidates.
I wish politics would never cross my mind, ever. I sometimes try to avoid thinking about it too much for my sanity.
I can't see how people can stand politics 24/7, or trying to encourage people to get involved by being negative all the time.
Chad voter may be low information but can smoke a brisket with the best of them
Sure a blue collar griller guy voting for Biden, that seems accurate
Low Information Voters are people who don't agree with me and thus they must be stupid because i have perfect information and no one has different values.
Guess I am a Chad.
I understand politics and get my daily dose, but I also know where I stand in relation to things and would rather focus on what I can control instead of what I can't.
Buddy is the exact opposite. Everything is a fire drill for him, everything is hate, anger, frustration, and hyperbole. He can't enjoy life. When was underemployed it was society's fault. Now he is gainfully employed, in a rather nice situation, and just blows all his money donating to his political candidate of choice while complaining about being broke and society screwing him over at every turn.
Meh, do what you can, but don't die an early death over it. Oligarchs gonna oligarch after all.
Notnrelated to “lowinformation” but on the wait time point.
Unironically the difference of how easy it was to vote when i lived in a rural area, walked in, was peak time like 4:30-6pm -ish, still no wait, voted left.
Vs living in an urban one where i had to wait almost 45 mins, it was only noon, line was huge, had to wait in multiple areas.
And this is Canada where its not that bad, meanwhile jve heard horror stories that make that sound like the easiest vote ever.
Alan Turing was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general-purpose computer. He is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.
Turing was prosecuted in 1952 for homosexual acts. He accepted hormone treatment with DES, a procedure commonly referred to as chemical castration, as an alternative to prison. Turing died on 7 June 1954, 16 days before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. An inquest determined his death as a suicide.

people need to stop portraying things they dont like in the worst light possible.
it it clear they're implying chattel slavery, the worst possible form practiced. there is no reason for this to be the default form of slavery whenever the topic comes up.
Putin dies and goes to hell, but after a while, he is given a day off for good behavior.
So he goes to Moscow, enters a bar, orders a drink, and asks the bartender:
-Is Crimea ours?
-Yes, it is.
-And the Donbas?
-Also ours.
-And Kyiv?
-We got that too.
Satisfied, Putin drinks, and asks:
-Thanks, how much do I owe you?
-5 euros.
A common argument among conservatives and "libertarians" is that the federal government leaving the abortion up to the states is the ideal scenario. This is a red herring designed to make you complacent. By definition, it cannot be a state issue. If half the population believes that abortion is literally murder, they are not going to settle for permitting states to allow "murder" and will continue fighting for said "murder" to be outlawed nationwide.
Don't be tempted by the "well, at least some states will allow it" mindset. It's false hope.
