I definitely wouldn’t say he’s African-American but he is African. Now depending on his citizenship. If he wants to say he’s Canadian or American he can but don’t put African and American together because he’s definitely not that.

You're kidding? His dad is a white South African and his mother is Canadian. If anything, his family might have more in common with slave owners because of the apartheid that was prevalent in South Africa until the 1990s. Hardly what anyone would consider African-American.

Does Elon Musk represent African Americans? I think I need to educate myself more on what makes an African American. I would have seen him as way more privileged, but I might be wrong. At least this can make all African Americans proud to see someone who represents them.

Serious ? What is a African American? Are there also things called European Americans, Asian Americans, North America Americans South America Americans Australian Americans or Antarctican Americans? I’ve never heard of any of those when referring to nationality
