Hello everyone I am a writer looking to create a LITRPG based webcomic with an inhuman MC. I can world build and create the story but I am finding tackling the monster that is game building a more difficult challenge then I had anticipated. I am in the early stages of development only a few basic ideas as to how the "game" works. I would really love to be able to bounce ideas off of someone.
I believe currently instead of levels, advancement will be XP based (you gain XP and can use it to purchase Skills/Talents) the more XP you have the stronger you are. There will be 6 basic stats: Strength, Endurance, Agility, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. At low levels these stats can be raised with some effort (Exercising increases strength and endurance, Studying can increase Intelligence and so on) those will get harder the higher your stat numbers get (ie much easier chance to raise of stat of 10 then a stat of 20 and so on)
Skills rank up and become stronger with use and training granting you access to higher ranking skills.
As far as the world goes everyone has a "Voice" in their head that acts sort of like an AI giving them info on the world and how things work. It is very logical and doesnt always give the best answers when asked for info. Human souls are sometimes taken from Earth upon the persons death and pulled into this world (no name for it yet) they are given a new Humanoid body and the "voice" helps guide them in learning about their new world.
Yeah I think thats all I have currently. Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help you can give me in build this up a bit more.
I'm curious. I know we've got a ton of writers in all stages, but where are you at? What's your current story about? What are your current goals, deadlines, wordcounts, etc?
I've been posting as I go on RoyalRoad. Today I realized that the damage-dealing abilities are underpowered, making combat needlessly prolonged as they slowly whittle down each others' HP. Is it acceptable to go back and totally revamp the entire combat balance, or is that frowned upon for an ongoing story to just change without warning?
Hello everyone i got a question for everyone. If you were transported to a diffrent world of sword and sorcery and the entity who braught you to this new world and told you that you can get twenty eight items for being braught to this new world. What would the twenty eight items you would ask for and there is no quantity limit?
Hi all, I am in the process of converting a book to ebook format to get ready to push to Kindle
I am struggling with how to make tables in Kindle? I used RoyalRoad before this for my tables but exporting from there does not export the nice looking tables. I do not want to export as images.
Do people have a preferred way to do this?
Just wondering if there are any litRPG writers out there that plan on doing camp nano?
Been looking for a cabin, but nothing really seems to fit well with the story idea I'm planning on working on.
Hi all I am new here and just starting in the genre myself. Been an avid reader for years now and have just started on my journey to publishing. Would it be ok to ask for some help with my stats system. I have it figured out in my head but I would like some feedback to know if it is too complicated or just enough!
So I was thinking of using a Tri-stat system. For me, this means that there are only Three stats and they can't be increased by adding to them. You increase them by training the Attribute that is linked to them. Or by spending your points from leveling on these Attributes. That, in turn, increase the Stats themselves.
So, for example, the Mind Stat would have Intel, Wisdom, and Creativity in it. If someone had a 10 in Mind if could come from a 4 in Intel, 4 in Wis and a 2 in Creativity. This would allow people with the same numbers to have in the stats to have wildly different Make up. The average for each Stat for humans is a 10.
If you all could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

Beginning of the world (probably won't be included in the book.)
The world was made by a computer AI in a military lab developing both virus and anti-virus programs. The AI uses everything at its disposal to make both the virus and anti-virus programs. The AI is connected to the internet becomes overwhelmed and breaks. The government doesn’t give up on the project and fixes it. When the monitor becomes active again they discover it’s been running new programs all this time.
Beginning of the story.
A star shoots through the sky. The stars tale is made of golden 1s and 0s. The star says mortal sin. The star hits and destroys the top of “The Top of the World” the mountain where the dragon king lives. The top of the mountain is now flat with the star in the center. The star pulses as a rainbow of colored codes come up from the ground swirling around the star with the Dragon King inside. The swirling code dissipates and reveals the star is gone and the Dragon King has become the Dragon-King of Sin. The Dragon-King of Sin opens his 14 eyes, roars, and flies away. 500 years later on the opposite side of the world, the Dragon-King of Sin is defeating an army of crusaders(holy knights) while 100 or more crusaders(priests) are praying in the distance. From the priests, a ball of light flies into the sky disappearing into it like phasing into a wall. The area of the sky that the ball of light flew into glows and from it a hole in the sky composed of intangible 1s and 0s appears. A goddess comes down from the hole in the sky. The goddess holds out her hand, an orb appears in front of her palm and an overwhelming beam of light just destroys the Dragon-King of Sin leaving a 10-mile long crater. In the center of the crater, you can see a silhouette of the Dragon-King of Sin. The goddess returns to where she came from. Different colored codes come up from the silhouette in the center of the crater. The codes converge into the sky causing a rainbow aurora to appear all over the world. Another 500 years later a rainbow aurora appears over the world again with 14 (smaller) stars gently falling to earth(the side we were first introduced to.

I'm getting ready to publish a paperback version alongside my latest ebook for the Limitless Lands series. The book description kept bunching up with no spaces between lines/paragraphs. The ebook is fine, just the description for the print version has the problem. When I submitted a help request to KDP, the representative said that book descriptions must be in html. Has anyone else heard this? I really don't want to have to learn html just to type my book description each time.
Hey guys, I was wondering what it would cost to hire an editor for my litrpg story I wrote. My story has about 60000 words right now.
Would the editor just correct grammar and spelling issues? Are there editors that would do more than that?
Before I get an editor should I use beta readers? Where can I get some beta readers?
Thank you all for your help.
My book is a light novel fantasy series. In my book there is Magic and Skills. If you read a isekai manga you probably know what I'm going for.

Everyone has a Profile like in a video game or D&D.
Profiles: Abilities, and Magic Affinities, Skills, and Magic Skills.
Abilities: STRength, DEXterity, CONstetution, CHArisma, WISdome, and MagicPower.
Magic Affinities: Light, Dark, Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. *Not all people are born with a Magic Affinity.
Mortal Races: Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, Gnomes, and Beast Folk.
Mortal Races start off with three Skills chosen semi-randomly. Two of the skills will have a high likelihood of being common, and the third skill will be more likely to be a rare or unique skill.
Non Mortal Races/Monster Races have all the things the Mortal Races have but they also get Race Skills and are more likely to have a Magic Affinity.
Do you prefer to write in first or third person? Why? Do you write something different when you write LitRPG than you do in other genres?
I'm having a bit of a conundrum with the book(s) I'm working on. I have a fairly solid idea of what I want to write, such as characters and the basic feel of the world. I'm working on some outlines right now as I'm planning a series of 'shortish' novels. My goal is around 40-60k words per novel/novella so it's a fast read, but I'm going for a sort of Heroic Fantasy feel so the books can be read standalone if people want. They're connected with the same characters, but if you pick up one, you won't be totally lost as to what's going on.
Anyway, my problem is: do I need to write the 'game system' now and include it from the first? Or do I write the story and then sort of overlay a game system? The setting itself is more a Portal Fantasy, similar to Delvers LLC and Adventures on Terra. So it's a world with game-like mechanics. I want it to feel properly GameLit/LitRPG so that the game mechanics matter/don't feel awkward, but I'm a little daunted by trying to figure out how an entire system works from scratch.
