This prediction from me in 2018 about YouTube turned out to be correct within a time range: All unlisted videos dated before 2017 were switched to private in July 2021.
YouTube's explanation, as often, sounds implausible.

YouTube feature removal prediction list for the future:
- All unlisted videos will be put into private.
- Total view count of the channel will be removed.
- 80% of analytics features will be chopped off.
- “Channels” tab will be removed.
