Interesting, the # of cases by vaccine should, if compared to overall vaccination # in HK, be able to yield an estimate of how well the vaccine protected against infection—haven't seen that estimate yet.

A conspiracy theorist (not me of course) would perhaps suggest they held on to the data until it was found that 3 doses of either vaccine works really, REALLY well. Like I say, not me though. I'd never suggest that.

This is confusing. They should provide the figures of deaths per 100k residents for each vaccine (combination), since cases have been seriously undercounted!

I’m not keen on the spin in the summary text in first screenshot I would interpret the data as: two doses of vaccination are very protective against severe COVID /except/ older adults >60y who receive CoronaVac need 3 doses not 2 doses

This data could be interpreted in a number of ways but the minor differences in percentages, I think you’d also have to look at comorbidities. Still if the gov can expend so much on building isolation camps and mass testing, they could have surely upped elderly vaccination…

My take away under 60 and unvaccinated less than 1% risk of death. What are the comparable stats for seasonal flu. Follow up would be to ask for the unfortunate deaths what were the comorbidity in death but listed as Covid?

Yeah. Shows us what we've know all along. That we are destroying the city and people's lives just because some old timers refuse to vaccinate. The death rates in younger age groups are in most cases probably in line with slipping in your bathroom
