Hi, Do you know if there is any tool that will be able to set serial number for new motherboard replaced in Fujitsu-Siemens laptop? Default serial number displayed in bios setup is 'YYYYYYYYYY'. I was trying OemIdent (DOS/Windows), SerialNo (DOS), CSN (Windows) from Fujitsu but no luck. Every tool is displaying message about error during connecting to DMI service. Phlash16 can set serial number during bios update (option /DSS for System or /DSC for Enclosure/Chassis), SMBCFG utility is displaying correct new serial but in the bios setup nothing is changed. Regards,
Have you got these for Aptio IV? I've been looking for the Aptio IV version, but can't find it anywhere. A problem I'm having I think might be solved if I could get a more recent amidelnx for Aptio 4 than what I'm using. I notice that there appears to be a hidden /DPC option which would ignore the check for Aptio IV vs Aptio V. Would this be safe to use?
If SERIALNO doesn't work, then try the CSN[64] program mentioned here. BTW, it would help if you mentioned your laptop model number. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...ite-dmi-fields-for-fujitsu.31744/#post-538617
