I think the answer is no. FTK uses standard Intel FWUpdLcl.exe for updating ME from Intel BIN files, and it can't upgrade ME from one major version to another, AFAIK. You need a ME8 region dump or full BIOS backup or full BIOS image to perform this update with FTK or just "fpt -me -f medump.bin".
Can you specify vendor and BIOS version you are willing to update ME on?

You can try to insert ME8 to this BIOS with FITC and see if it works. Actually, three are some examples of ME7 to ME8 transition without changing BIOS code, but they are rare. ASUS X79 desktop boards are one of notable examples.

AFAIK, its not possible for Intel HM65 Express Chipset. It always displays error (I'll post screenshot asap).

Btw, thanks for your guidance & valuable projects.

    No problem at all. :)
BTW, I'm starting a new project tomorrow, the successor of PMPatch project towards GUI, logging and adding/editing patches without recompilation of the whole program. See my post on IM about it.

    Hi there guys.
Im new to this forum so im happy to be here.
I have a Toshiba Qosmio x770-107 that have bios v2.1 that causes me damn throttling problems with stock clocks 775 then the core drops to 203 with very very low FPS ... i read all the Qosmio owners have Downgraded to bios v1.10 that solves everything, i tried to do that with USB booter and AFUDOS but i got 2 situations, 1. '' Bios is write protected '' 2. with AFUDOS enginnering edition, to force it, it took the command but nothing happpened.
How can i fix it ?
Should i use the AMIFlash/Aptio/Winflash ? is it safe ? & how to use it ?
Thanx in advance for helping. :)
