Holding our basic philosophy, "We value the global environment and resources", Fuji Kogyo has been devoted to the development of new technologies and machines to cater to potential needs of customers all over the world.
It has been more than 6 decades since we started our business with the development of a certain sawmill waste-chipper to make wood chips for pulp, wood waste board, etc..
As a pioneer of Rotary Type Debarker, we invented Fuji King Debarker and launched its marketing more than 30 years ago. Since then, we have delivered over 300 units to a variety of plants (pulp mills, MDF, OSB mills, satellite chip plants, etc.) around the world. Fuji King Debarker has been obtaining a worldwide reputation for showing a high performance in hard-to-debark logs such as frozen, planted eucalyptus and small-diam. ones efficiently with minimum wood loss and energy consumption.
Along with the recent rise in environmental concerns, the world is headed in a more sustainable direction as energy sources are being diversified to offer a more carbon-neutral solutions. In this regard, we, Fuji Kogyo have also been supporting this energy diversification by installing a great deal of our machines in high-in-demand wood chip mills to produce materials for wooden biomass electric power plants.
We promise to continue to make an endeavor to be an essential partner for customers who need our technologies and machines that enable a clean environment and effective use of resources, thereby contributing to the creation of sustainable future.

FUJI KOGYO's Commitment to SDGs

SDGs

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) comprising 17 time-bound and measureable goals, play a central role in the 2030 Agenda. With 169 targets and 230 indicators, SDGs are a blueprint for a sustainable future as well as people’s to-do list. Development goal should be implemented in a way that social, economic and environmental aspects of sustainable development are integrated, rather than independent of each other.

(Source: United Nations Information Center)

We will contribute to achieving the following five goals of SDGs through our business.

Goal 7 icon
Goal 7 [Energy]
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

Solar panels on the roof of our factories contribute to suppling clean energy.
We are switching to LEDs for lighting in the office in order to reduce CO2 emissions.

Goal 12 icon
Goal 12 [Responsible consumption and production]
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

Many of our machines for environment solution and recycling are in operation at our customers' resource recycling plants. They have various effects of reducing depletable resources through recycling, prolonging the life of landfill sites, and reducing CO2 emissions, which help to enhance "responsible consumption and production".

Goal 13 icon
Goal 13 [Climate change]
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

In recent years, woody biomass power plants have been using carbon-neutral fuels to generate renewable energy all over Japan.
We have contributed to combatting climate change by designing and installing a great deal of large-scale equipment to produce woody chips.

Goal 14 icon
Goal 14 [Life Below Water]
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development

By providing our customers with machines that produce RPF fuel (fuel made from waste plastic, etc.), we have contributed to preventing outflow of plastic waste into the oceans and "conserving enriched marine resources."

Goal 15 icon
Goal 15 [Life On Land]
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

In Japan and overseas, we have installed numerous wood chip production facilities which use renewable and eco-friendly planted trees as raw materials.
We have also provided customers with machines that crush, sort, and recycle unused lumber such as forestry residue, felled roots, and pruned branches to create recycled resources.
Such our efforts have supported "sustainable forest management" and, ultimately, "enriched nature resources on land".
