How do I cancel my account?

When deleting your personal account data, the list of books you've shelved, and your friends list will be removed from the site. 

If you are an author, you can delete your account in the same way. It’s important to note that this will only remove your personal (member) account data – books you've rated and reviewed, your friends, and account information. Deleting your account will not remove your author profile or the records and reviews for the books that you have authored.

Here's how to delete your account on desktop:

1. Click on your profile picture in the header and select Account Settings from the drop-down menu
2. On the Profile tab, click Delete my Account under your profile image
3. Alternatively, navigate to the Settings tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click delete my account
4. On the next page, confirm that you'd like to remove it

Here's how to delete your account on the iOS app:

1. On the home screen, tap the More icon at the bottom right
2. Tap Settings > Settings > Account
3. At the bottom of the screen select Delete my account

Here's how to delete your account on the Android app:

1. Tap on the More menu icon, then select Settings
2. Tap Account Settings, then Account
3. At the bottom of the screen select Delete my account
