元五輪選手で熊本県議の松野明美氏は、日本維新の会から夏の参院選比例代表に立候補すると表明した。松野氏は「障害児の母である経験を生かし、福祉の充実に取り組む」。参院選熊本選挙区では自民・現職の松村祥史氏が立候補を予定。
