The building was designed with Allstars in mind, prioritising cool spaces for Allstars to meet, mingle and get their creative juices flowing.
Designed with an industrial aesthetic, this edgy space spans 18,000 sq metres and offers an open plan, with an atrium covered in astro turf where colourful beanbags beckon Allstars to kick up their heels – a nod to AirAsia’s casual and fun spirit – and themed meeting rooms inspired by destinations from the airline’s wide network.
Meanwhile, the lounge offers spectacular views of the airline’s bright red birds taking off and landing.
The new corporate office reflected the airline group’s determination in becoming the number one airline in Malaysia and across the region, while incorporating elements showcasing its professional, fun and friendly attitude.

The open office plan with exposed ceilings serves as a blank canvas to accentuate the colours and vibrancy of AirAsia’s corporate branding, imbuing the spaces with a kaleidoscope of colours.
The name RedQ, representing RedQuarters was selected, as it echoes the dynamism and spirit of the company and its workforce in making AirAsia a resilient and successful airline.
The other highlight is the clerestory windows that can be seen at either side of the building’s roof, bringing in natural lighting and ventilation.
“The new headquarters is designed with our AirAsia Allstars (employees) in mind and we are committed to provide the best for our employees who are the pillars of strength and the reason for our success” – Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.
The RedQ was designed to create an environment to stimulate creativity and generate new ideas.
“Our employees are the pillars of strength and the reason for our success.”, said Tony Fernandes.
The building maximises space utilisation, creating collaborative nodes as well as providing contemplative and creative corners in a variety of layouts.
Concrete or cement flooring is the material of choice, bringing new life to the building.
The six-storey building, which is replete with green features, is located adjacent to Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) in Sepang, Selangor.
The AirAsia corporate building features a modern design and will be equipped with several facilities such as surau, meeting rooms, cafes, spacious cafeteria, flight crew lounge, gymnasium and a rooftop which doubles as a venue for corporate and in-house events.
