Twitch users, today is the day that the Twitch v5 API goes offline! Please ensure you have upgraded OBS Studio to the latest version (27.2+), or else you will not be able to use the "Connect Account" feature to stream to Twitch!

Twitch Users

You MUST update to 27.2 before the end of February! After Feb 28th, you will no longer be able to connect your Twitch account in any previous version of OBS due to Twitch ending support for the old v5 API. Only OBS Studio 27.2 and later support the new API.

Update: It appears this issue specifically affects certain Windows users w/ NVIDIA GPUs. We're working closely with NVIDIA to track down the root cause. We've paused automatic updates for 27.2 on Windows, but you can still download directly from GitHub:

This issue is most common for users running the latest version of OBS and using an older version of the StreamElements plugin. We currently recommend uninstalling their plugin before updating to OBS 27.2 and waiting for them to release a compatible version.

We're aware of a rare system freeze affecting a small subset of users on version 27.2 If you're encountering this issue you can downgrade back to 27.1.3 while we continue to investigate. We're working hard to narrow down the problem as quick as we can!
