Hey all, I spent last night making this. It's a tool to take the stems you get from the Stem Player site (both official and custom ones) and plays them like a Stem Player.
You can have full control over the stems, just like the Stem Player :)
Enjoy,

The source code is also posted if you wanna look at it or even run the python script raw :)
What file extension would you prefer for a runnable program bruh
I whipped one up real quick and put it on the link in the post. I can't be too sure it works 100% but give it a shot.
Thats really cool shit. Do you have any more plans with this? Like it could support flac and you could add key bindings. Edit: didn't read that keybinding are possible
I did have keybinds in at one point but redid everything for the sliders and forgot to add them back in. I'll take a look when I get home. And yeah, absolutely can add support for more file types :)
Hey, when I select tracks folder, the app plays all the songs in the folder at once. How to fix this?
I don't quite understand what you mean. It looks for files that have been split. It doesn't do the splitting. You pick a folder with four files (one for each stem) and it plays them with control over the stems.
Son of a bitch, I deleted my senior project that involved python code to filter out certain parts of songs.
If I get tim, I'll submit a PR that will let you split any audio file into stems. Excited to see this take off, OP
From my limited tinkering with AI, it sounds like AI was used. Take a gander at this if you have the time. I'd certainly be happy to look at it though :)
this happens for me on mac https://imgur.com/AOj7WVA a folder selector pops up and i choose one then the app closes / maybe crashes? unless i just dont understand how it works

It's a program for actually playing the files you get from the stem player website. It looks in a folder for four mp3/wav files that should end in "[1-4].mp3" or "[1-4].wav" and plays them like a stem player would. To actually GET the files, look up Stem Player Emulator, that's how you get the stems.
It's just a player, for now at least. I may try and make it emulate a full device in the future. You can use Krystalgamer's Stem Player Emulator script to get the stems from the site, or make your own.
It's not supposed to emulate a device, at least not yet. It's just a player for stems you get from the site. For now, you can use the Stem Player Emulator script by krystalgamer to get stems.
I added one to the GitHub link. I didn't really test it thoroughly as my Mac is outdated but try it out :D
I literally could’ve hung out with her and watched the whole thing mf was 2 and a half hours late.
