Germany and Ukraine are both challenging US predictions of a Russian invasion. A rare alignment.

I wish recent domestic politics didn't suggest both claims were more about political posturing than intel, though. I'd be very happy if the US was wrong about all of this.

2 Different reasons
Scholz he want it one way but it's the other way.
Zelensky wanted Iron Dome but all he got was loud words and fancy small arms
PLUS
1-No planes willing to fly over Ukraine 2- Tanking Bond Market 3-No Sanctions
Zelensky has every right to be upset.

If Ukraine and Germany want to handle the Russian menace by themselves without America contesting their leadership, good news: the way things are going in this country, they will find themselves quite on their own against Russia all too soon

Whaaat? Hahahaha. Nobody hopes Biden eats crow *more than Biden* regarding Ukraine. The countries are all on the same page -neither gamesmanship nor pride will come between leaders. Trust that. No oxygen for silliness tonight, I wouldn’t worry.

Zelensky has all my support, but looks like guy doesn't know which posture to take, he said Russia would invade on Wednesday, just to change his statement hours later. Looks like he is going for "If I close my eyes Putin might go away". I don't envy his position tho.

I'm totally fine with countries arguing about whether Russia will invade or not rather than arguing on how they can appease Russia.

Hey, if it doesn’t happen, FANTASTIC!
Hope for the best, work for the best, but prepare for the worst.
I can’t wait to find out this has been blown out of proportion, and Russian forces conclude their exercises, and return home.
#peace, it’s what we all want, what we all need.

US should let Ukraine face whatever consequences that comes their way, NATO without US is not. I don't blame Trump when he said NATO countries should fund the organization more.

#Germany is walking a tight rope with #RussiaUkraine. Not sticking up for them, but they have stupidly positioned ~40% of gas imports from Russia. #stoop
(if that wacky Wally Putin is just pulling the wool over ol' Joe's eyes and not planning an invasion, great, that's awesome, I'll take the L.)
