Lately people have been looking for an alternative search engine to Google as it's been censoring more and more news, info, etc. Same with You Tube, well I have compiled a list of all of the internet search engines I have come across. I find most search results yield same results as Google, if anyone knows of a GENUINE (not censored) internet search engine and video sharing website please post your reply below. Thank you.

You can add this thread I created to your web browser address bar (preferably Brave or Firefox, lol) or favorites folder to use for future reference instead of manually typing every link or copying & pasting every link into the address bar.

These are my favourite video sharing websites from the below list:

Here are some of the online search tools I use:

www.yippy.com

This almost completely unacknowledged search engine from IBM digs through several huge datasets and gives you the option of filtering results by semantic clusters. Although its results are not always better than other search engines, they are, at least in my experience, usually quite different.

www.qwant.com

A decent alternative to the big three (Google, Bing, Yandex) and allegedly more respectful of privacy (although I just assume all assurances of privacy are lies and go from there).

www.blogsearchengine.org

This is a useful way to find information presented on obscure blogs which, for the most part , are entirely invisible to basic Google search queries.

www.google.com

Yeah I know google sucks and will find any excuse to field search queries with imbecilic propaganda, but it is possible to force it to operate somewhat like it used to (say pre-2011) by using filter prefixes. The most useful for me are the "allintext:" and "filetype:" prefixes.

The following will produce results that contain all of the indicated search terms:

allintext: "google" "darpa" "jigsaw" "highlands"

And below is the same query as above but predicated by any of the indicated search terms:

allintext: google darpa jigsaw highlands

For some reason queries with search terms qualified in this manner generate results that don't show up for queries consisting of those search terms by themselves. It's also possible to force Google to cough up additional/different results is by simply appending random letters or numbers (or even extended ASCII characters) to the end of your query.

One thing that I use the "filetype:" prefix for is limiting results to PDF files. For instance:

"Ogilby" "1671" "Description of the New World" filetype:pdf

The foregoing notwithstanding, my position is that Google is the center of the satanic cyclone and also has one of the ugliest logos of all time.

cdnc.ucr.edu

This is the California digital newspaper collection hosted by UC Riverside. It hosts millions of pages of newspaper from the pre-Civil War era to the present. Nothing will disabuse a person of the pretension of progress like reading old newspapers. One caveat here is that the search index is OCR-derived and thus somewhat unreliable.

archive.4plebs.org/pol/

The intersection of interests between /pol/ and stolen history may be narrow, but there is still a lot of useful info there (millions of posts, most of which are excluded unconditionally from all search engines). I like to use the advanced search feature (only available if accessed via the site's secure "https" address) with a bounded search time range. A technique I find useful is to search for predictions for events that have already occurred but were chronologically subsequent to the specified range; the thread containing a successful prediction will usually yield interesting information. (Posts of this nature often contain the terms "screencap this," and can be sought for as such.)

www.archive.org

Lots of old books and other documents.

sacred-texts.com

Lots of books, mostly relating to religion, metaphysics, and the occult. Ok, I guess this isn't really a search engine.

talktotransformer.com

This AI confabulation tool is hit or miss (mostly miss) and you have to be fairly knowledgeable about your input topic from the outset to know whether it's giving you caca or not, but I've gotten some really good hints from Transformer before. This isn't really a search engine either, I realize, but it wouldn't hurt you to talk to this thing once in a while.

One very limited search engine I have found is searchencrypt. Search Encrypt | Home

While searching for "Bill Gates paralzyes 500,000 Indian children" - in google/duck duck/startpage - not a single link comes up - but searchencrypt finds links, but for many other issues - it's no better than google or duck.

A big thanks for the thread idea and the collection of resources.

This is not looking good. I wonder if there are ANY search engines NOT censored by TPTB left to access important resources. I presume this was planned and taken care of long ago and new contenders are taken into the fold before they can become 'dangerous'.

DuckDuckGo Donations donate to ACLU and use the Google index. They are on the spectrum of engines to avoid for me.

A reason that there are not many search engines is that even if you look at just the ~4000 news sites, then the first index is about 22TB with monthly updates around 2TB.The storage/bandwidth fees after the first year for AWS (Amazon Web Services) would be close to USD $240,000.00. If you throw salary of 3 or 4 good developers onto that then you are now at around USD $700k.

It starts to become very costly, very quickly. That's just for news. Scraping the most frequently visited sites (a conservative estimate is about 5% of all sites) every month would be in the petabyte range for the first scrape/index. It would be difficult to calculate costs for loadbalancer / geo duplicates / backups / staging environments etc of your index. That's why many IT folk believe that Google is a state sponsored entity because the running costs far outweigh the revenue they make via adwords / Gmail etc.

Too bad I cannot edit my original thread to include all these new found ones.
I think if you become a patron you get a longer time to edit your posts but it also is time limited I believe so you may have passed that limit also.
Thanks for the thread and listings!
