**RENEWED PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE MEASURES**

Due to the continued transmission of COVID-19 cases in Japan, the following protective measures have been established and are mandatory for all individuals present on or assigned to Yokota Air Base. This order also includes personnel assigned to mission partner and tenant units.

**JAPAN TRAVEL UPDATE**
All personnel traveling into Japan require a negative COVID-19 test within three days of travel, regardless of vaccination status, both commercial and military air.
For those unable to acquire a COVID test due to lack of availability, an exception to policy memo signed by the first O-6 in one's chain of command is needed to travel. Upon return, a restriction to domicile will be conducted until in receipt of a negative COVID test.

*As of January 28, 2022*
U.S. Forces Japan increases HPCON to Bravo, extends Japan-wide public health emergency

The commander of U.S. Forces Japan has extended the Public Health Emergency (PHE) for Japan in accordance with DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6200.03, “Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) Within the DoD.” The PHE will automatically terminate on 1 April 2022, unless it is renewed and republished or sooner terminated by the commander. This order supersedes the previous PHE declaration for Japan issued on 6 January 2022.

Previous Changes to Current Force Public Health Order:
All individuals on military installations and all individuals performing official duties on behalf of the Department of Defense from any location other than the individual's home, including outdoor shared spaces, will wear masks. This includes: Military Personnel, DoD Civilian Employees and Host-Nation Employees, Family Members, DoD contractors, and all other individuals on DoD property, installations, and facilities.
- Sets HPCON level for USFJ and all USFJ components to BRAVO while allowing for additional measures by individual bases and OACC based on local conditions.
All individuals entering Japan will complete a 14-day ROM, regardless of vaccination status.
- All individuals in ROM will wear a face covering until receipt of a negative viral test administered by USG or GoJ in Japan. An international entry test at a commercial airport does not meet this requirement.
- Individuals traveling into Japan via Patriot Express or Mil-Air require a COVID-19 test upon entry, regardless of vaccination status.
