まさにそれが当てはまるのが東洋史、満蒙史の泰斗で26歳の若さで日本学士院賞受賞された、故・岡田英弘東京外国語大学名誉教授。偉大な学者なのに歴史学会ではパージされるも、もっと評価されていい人物。日本は彼に旭日某賞を与えてもいいはずだが、死者に追賞ってできるんでしたっけ？
日本のアカデミアでは若いうちに論文をたくさん書いたり、大型予算を取ると就職しにくいです。日本は若手用の独立ポジションがないのです。教授はいうことを聞き、雑用をこなしてくれる人を求めています。そのような仕組みでありますので、若いうちは従順であることを徹底的にアピールすることが重要。
