This is so disappointing, I can't play a game in which everything I've done outside of the main missions is just freaking deleted because I fell off a roof!
    WHY?
Give us back a manual saving system for Pete's sake! You're ruining all the money I paid for your stupid bland game!
    AAAH I HATE YOU UBISOFT
I was really looking forward to this, you suck

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@naerysdewaldeck If you die, you do not lose items you have collected etc., you just have enemy respawns. To be honest, its refreshing when a game doesn't allow you to save every 2 secs whilst also doesn't make you lose anything you have collected and read if you do die.

@mrsir1980 True. On the other hand-----if there is a manual save system no one HAS to use it. Options are good!

@flanker1six: you are damn right! It is terrible decision to remove a manual save system. There is no good reason to do so, but lame programmers.

I do understand that certain people do not like the manual saves, but as said they simply do not use them and they are done.

It makes me stop playing, asking for refund. Plain as that.

    cheers

Yeah, I actually set Show Controls to F4, not knowing that the game didnt have a manual save system.
After playing it for a while and hitting F5 for a bit, I was pretty shocked that it didnt have a save, and went looking for it in the options where it was nowhere to be found.
But, after playing, I realized that it saves pretty fast, especially when you do something like enter a car, or go to a nearby area that is populated with at least 2 people.
It was a bitter pill to swallow, but it saves a LOT more than most games do w/o a manual save system.

@dave3d07 I have heard that if you fast travel to one of your controlled bases, that creates a save point. But what I do, as with all these games, is manually copy the save files to another drive about once a hour of play. And name them in order so I can never lose much.

Sadly, most all gaming companies are doing away with manual saves. As consumers, the only thing we can do, is not purchase their games, but that would require will power and strong self-determination. I hate that they have gone that route as well, but it's not enough to make me stop purchasing and playing games. That day might come, but it will be for some other lame brain corporate decision that will determine that final outcome.
