With a majority of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 being unvaccinated, the best defense against severe illness due to COVID-19 is a COVID-19 vaccination. Locally at Atrium Health Navicent facilities, 137 of the 149 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 are unvaccinated.
