DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Payment Acceptance and Experience Team is responsible for how Amazon’s customers pay on Amazon’s sites around the globe. Our team is growing and we’re looking for a UX Writer who leads by doing, values diversity of thought and background, has a passion for solving problems at massive scale and brings their best self to work everyday.

You will create the documentation for our internal design system, as well as build education courses and create content to assist our partners build payment experiences within our technical design system and architecture. Working directly in payments, you will help create the UI and voice strategies for the main Amazon shopping experience. To accomplish all of this, you will work with design and technical leaders to determine what content needs to be created/edited/removed and then make it so.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Responsible for writing the articles and technical content documentation to enable designers, product managers and engineers across the company to build search experiences
· Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and researchers to craft and hone language used across a variety of situations: UI components, conversational building blocks, editorial and help content
· Raise the bar for interface/product communication and drive alignment on voice and tone
· Anticipate customer needs based on their objectives and explore innovative solutions to customer issues
· You will interact directly with customers and use their feedback to improve the documentation dynamically, then update and publish your documentation on demand. You’ll write innovative, memorable and effective content, combining creative inspiration and leadership to introduce new ideas and experiences to the world

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience as a technical writer or content strategist. Or combination of equivalent experience and education
· A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables
· The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in a fast paced environment
· Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around content plans and specific scripts or articles
· Eagerness to continually learn, grow and improve the craft and process of writing
· Demonstrated passion for solving problems
