Download Udemy courses with DRM

I saw a few threads about downloading Udemy courses now that they've added DRM to a lot of the videos and didn't see a good solution. Digging around a little more I was able to get it working.

It's not the easiest solution, a working knowledge of Python (at least how to use pip to install Python libraries) is needed. You also need to know how to modify the PATH variable on your computer. I did all of this on Windows 10 and Chrome.

You also need to own the course on Udemy, you can't download a course unless you own it, although if you have the Personal Plan subscription (even the trial) there's a way you can download the videos.

Install Widevine Guesser Extension

GitHub Link

Download the .zip file, extract the contents, make sure that Chrome is in Developer Mode and use "Load unpacked" to add the extension to Chrome.

Install Udemy Downloader

GitHub Link

Download the files somewhere and extract them. Make sure to read the readme.md file as there are a lot of additional requirements including other applications that need to be installed. If you already have them installed I would recommend updating them, I ran into an issue and it turned out I had an older version of ffmpeg. Make sure to also run pip install -r requirements.txt

You'll need to put your access_token into the .env file (instructions to find it in the readme.md file under 'Acquire Bearer Token')

To find the KeyID and Key open the course in Chrome and start playing one of the videos. Uusally the first few videos do not have DRM so pick a random one in the middle. The Widevine Guesser extension should find the Key ID (KID) and value (HEX), put these two values into the keyfile.json file and save it. If it doesn't find anything try another video, the one you started may not have DRM.

Run the command main.py -c [Course URL] --download-assets and it will start downloading all the videos and additional files for the course.

I also signed up for the free trial of the "Personal Plan" which gives me free access to a lot of the courses. You can download these as well, you just have to click the "Save +" button at the top right of the video page in the course and add it to your "Watch later" list.

I don't get this post but it looks like a tool which I could use to download the paid Udemy courses I have been procrastinating.

Thank you! I've been wanting to store offline all the courses I've bought since they implemented the DRM.

Hey I am sorry but could you please redirect a link to it once you download the python course, cause I'm not in a position nor knowledgeable enough to execute what OP just said.

This method doesn't work anymore, The widevine extension doesn't work on udemy and If I replaced the widevinecdm file and the sig file. Udemy videos don't play

No, you just need purchased courses. You can find some for free at r/udemyfreebies. I think it works with the premium plans as well but I haven't tried that part.

You can sign up for a trial of the premium plan and then download as many courses as you can in 7 days, just make sure to cancel.

That's the important question

Hi I have tried random videos , but wide vine guesser doesn't seems to guess anything. I am on udemy business account.

1
level 2

No worries. The mistake was I used widevine in brave which was blocking so I tried in chrome and it worked.

1
level 1

Doesn't seem to be working now (vine guesser doesn't provide me any code, I'm using Google Chrome) Allavsoft is also not working, the only think that works is a cr4 Chrome extension but you can only download 720p videos.

Hi,

This post is aimed towards people like me who love Franco Belgian Comic books (BDs) and do not have the means to afford a large collection, as they cost 15€ an album.

I started about 2 years ago, and here are the things I learned:

  • Albums take between two weeks and 3 month to be posted online

  • Scan quality is rather inconsistent, but around 70 mbs for 50 pages seems to be satisfactory

  • While illegal, it does not seem to be prosecuted

Now, the sites I found to be the best:

This site is all around the best one, it works well, offers multiple download platforms and is rather complete. But has a very annoying antibot check for every download.

The site is good for when you know what you are looking for, but discoverability is not very good.

I use this site rarely when the two first ones do not have a particular comic I am looking for.

Libgen comics seems to be more or less abandoned, but you can use it to find the old classics, but anything that has been published within two years will not be on here. But the site is by far the most ergonomic.

For italian comics, I have not used it, but it is proposed by a comment

If you have other sites, or other conclusions feel free to comment them and I will edit this post.

Sorry for my bad english

The Egyptian government has taken some steps towards piracy in the last few days.

The Egyptian government has blocked websites like:fitgirl repacks, egybest(movies&series).

Not only that but they blocked a lot of vpns and proxies to stop piracy as much as they can.

Not only they blocked those websites but also arrested one of the most known Egyptian movie Pirating sites, My Cima owner was arrested by the Egyptian police, and stated that on their site but after few days the website was deleted.

Weeks ago i downloaded office 2019 with a video in youtube that had 2 setups (one to 32 bits and other to 64 bits), both setups are apparently clean in virustotal
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/6571f25f03293a43c5c10fa5d604d9d981781fe26c2fb22e8cea6b604492cfe3 (32 BITS)

Also the activation metod was trough the following commands in CMD

cd /d %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16

cd /d %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16

for /f %x in ('dir /b ..\root\Licenses16\ProPlus2019VL*.xrm-ms') do cscript ospp.vbs /inslic:"..\root\Licenses16\%x"

cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16

cscript ospp.vbs /inpkey:NMMKJ-6RK4F-KMJVX-8D9MJ-6MWKP

cscript ospp.vbs /sethst:kms.srv.crsoo.com

cscript ospp.vbs /act

Was there any harmful thing in the commands or the setups?

PD: i didn´t installed with the tools in the mega thread because i didnt know they existed :c

There are some games out there with so many version revisions that it can be hard to find a trainer for the highest available cracked version. Then there's the fact that sometimes you can't even find the version nunber of the game - not in the exe properties nor within the game itself (Version is exe properties often has completely different version numbering format)

Then there are game trainers that only have the date they were released. Pleased don't be all "git gud", I have an impairment that stops me being able to reasonably play 90% of the titles out there.

This thread is for the r/Piracy community to discuss whatever is on their mind, whether it is related to digital piracy or not.

  • Rules are still applicable so please do not request for specific pirated content (ie. specific movie, book, etc.) and definitely don't link to any. Do not mention specific media names asking for help in finding them.

  • Don't forget to check out the wiki, which contains a megathread with a list of sites/apps, tools, FAQ, and other useful resources.

  • Your question also may have been asked previously - you can search the subreddit via google - example: https://i.imgur.com/1jA767u.jpg

Seems that certain channels require you to use their VPN (NordVPN), but when I try to access with my VPN on I get a message saying "This channel requires a VPN to watch. "

Anyone know of a workaround for this?

Side question:

Is there any integration for live TV for Plex? I know they have "live TV" built in but its all the crap channels.

While finding out Eternal Jukebox's API, it seemed that it was using Spotify's music system.

Here's how to get Spotify's music M4A by using it.

THIS IS ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. IF YOU DIDN'T BOUGHT THE SONGS, PLEASE DO NOT TRY DOWNLOADING. I'M TRYING THIS FOR ONLY BOUGHT SONGS.

1. Get Spotify Music ID

Get spotify's music ID which is form like: 6Ey31C2r7HgO9c7DAsrQR4.

2. Enter that ID

Enter ID in URL.

https://eternalbox.dev/api/audio/jukebox/{YOURIDHERE}

3. Profit

Get pure M4A files :)

Here is the situation. To circumvent a corporate installed piece of software from execution, I need to edit the first 10 bytes or so of some exe & dll files and save them at their original location. I cannot delete those files, deleting would simply cause them to be reproduced.

I tried editing the exe and dll files using a hex editor called Madedit, but when I changed the initial strings of code to random hexadecimal characters and tried to FILE>SAVE; even as administrator, it throws an error message, preventing the save.

What am I doing wrong? How can I hex edit these files so as to include random junk that would prevent the proper execution of those files.

Here is the instruction based upon which I did my attempt..

You will then want to edit the first 10 bytes or so to destroy the EXE header of each file. This will basically make the file into a text file for all intents and purposes so they can't be executed. Don't delete the files as the bios will then replace them on reboot. You will also want to alter the first few bytes of rpcnetp.dll and rpcnet.dll.

Thanks and regards

Adobe master collection downloaded from the russian link on his w14monkrusws website. This one file was nuked by windows defender
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/2d43d6e607069cd931643d37acddaf82072cc675264ab899ee7b70f63b69777a
16/68 positives seems unusually high for a false positive, but seems like most of them are generic detections so I dont know what to think

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/9bd9c68e787882158c59151d678c748090ecb9b7e1258c1bab0836bee9ead467/detection
also the crack files are tagged as bitcoin miners, seems like a false flag tho at 4/66 and 3 being generic

Ive seen many people say that monkrus is a longtime cracker that is trusted and respected, but I am new to this so these virustotals are still spooky

I have this problem where when I use sonarr to do a manual search I can see some decent results and manually choose them, but of the options presented it seems sonarr always picks the worst one.

I have sonarr connected to 6 general torrent sites through jackett and can automatically download a show without intervention maybe 1 in 4 times

Here's the link: https://www.loom.com/share/0d13570c64fc46dabfc06b4a1f20f158

It seems to be DRM-protected MPEG DASH content, right?

IDM, youtube-dl, ffmpeg and all the usual suspects don't work.

Is there an alternative to screen-recording these types of protected videos?

Downloading and merging all the single segments doesn't work either.

https://cdn.loom.com/sessions/raw/0d13570c64fc46dabfc06b4a1f20f158-audio-55.webm

Could this maybe work?

https://github.com/Jayapraveen/Drm-Dash-stream-downloader

I guess not without knowing the key, right?

Is there any other solution that you guys know of or would I have to bite the bullet and screen-record multiple of these suckers?

I'm honestly pretty scared to download stuff from the internet. I would appreciate if you guys could recommend me one of those websites with a hundred pop-up ads where you just enter, search for the show you want and watch it online.

Movies, series, whatever, as long as the german dub is available. I'm not from Germany, but I'm trying to learn German. Would be even better if english/spanish/portuguese subtitles are available!

It's kinda specific, I know, so I understand if there aren't any, especially considering it has to do with Germany, a country with strict laws against piracy. Thank you in advance!

I am using Mullvad as my VPN provider. I have qBitTorrent configured to only interface while on my VPN network. When opening a port for qBitTorrent, do I need to forward that port on Mullvad, my home router, or both?

The client in question is Transmission. It's what I always used on my Macbook so I figured it'd be easy and familiar to use on my new laptop, but it doesn't seem to work as well. As in, it seems to "connect" to 1+ peers but only downloads for a few seconds at a time, even though it'll consistently say it's connected to at least 1 peer.

The majority of the torrents I use have way more Seeders than Leechers. Any idea what's up? Was thinking of switching to qBittorrent but wasn't sure how much the client matters when it comes to stuff like this.

So years ago when I built my pc I pirated windows 7. When windows 10 arrived I got a free upgrade to win 10.

Now I got a new pc and I'm trying to find out if I can somehow transfer windows from my old pc to the new or do I have to buy a new license or sail the seas once more?

Seeing a lot of links lately with advertising all over them. Sl@@Li@@t is one of them (don’t want to promote them). Has anyone see this crap. Pop ups. Videos. Watermarks. Constant bombarding of the entire video. Ruins the whole experience and can’t get past 5 minutes. Latest supernatural entity catcher movie (avoiding name) is an example.

Have you guys seen what I’m talking about? What’s your opinion on it?

Wayyy back when, I redeemed a few codes and got 50GBs/month free from Windscribe. Now, I have a 4TB external drive that I'm looking to load up with 4k surround sound movies and games, so that 50GB won't get me very far. What do you guys use?

I signed up to an expensive online course and need to download the videos for offline use. The videos are hosted on s3bubble. I tried different video downloader extensions but none of them worked. Does anyone have an idea besides capturing the videos with xbox game bar?
