Black-eyed Pea restaurants in Texas reportedly close

Black-eyed Pea, a restaurant known for its Southern comfort food, has shut down most of its Texas locations, according to reports.

Dallas' WFAA reported on Tuesday evening that 12 of the 13 remaining Black-eyed Pea restaurants in the state abruptly closed. The restaurant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December 2015, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

WFAA says only one Black-eyed Pea, in Arlington, was opened on Tuesday.
