I'm not sure why you translated pervy/lewd thoughts as dirty thoughts. There is nothing dirty about reproduction, this is like humans' number 1 goal. Christianity fucked you over.

What some people think perversion means: anything sex related.
What perverts think perversion is: eels in vagina, skin hooks, SM play, faggotry, child fucking.

This isnt even particularly scandalous these days.
I think more people are shocked by messy porn than these things nowadays tbh

Endlessly recycling 2014 4chan memes?

Oh, the stupidity. Those idiots.

Coming from a DQN veteran such as myself, the latest trend among us vets is this, endlessly recycling 2003 2ch memes.

That's right, endlessly recycling 2003 2ch memes. This is the vet's way of posting.

aside from the initial cost of the animal itself, it seems to range anywhere from nearly free (if you already own pasture for them to graze on and stables for them to sleep in) to upwards of $1000 a month (for room, board, feed, and grooming, if you don't have the time or space to do that all yourself)

i was interested because a horse seems like a much cooler way to navigate around a large, rural property than an atv or a jeep or something. plus grass is cheaper than gas.

It makes it easier to spot when one paragraph ends and another begins. Doesn't waste space as much as the entire empty line. I rarely get in the mood when I want to write a wall of text though. I'm not sure what's the maximum length of the line here, maybe I should wordwrap manually too? Will hopefully make things easier to read. I will probably have to disable formatting every time I do this

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Shinto,
is in fact, Shinbutsu shuugo, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Shinto plus Buddhism.
Shinto is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component
of a fully functioning Buddhist system made useful by the Buddhist terminology, cosmology
and soteriology comprising a full religion as defined by Amidabutsu.

Many worshipers run a modified version of the Buddhist system every day,
without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Buddhism
which is widely used today is often called "Shinto", and many of its users are
not aware that it is basically the Buddhist system, developed by the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama.

There really is a Shinto, and these people are using it, but it is just a
part of the system they use. Shinto is the theology: the aspect of the system
that allocates the faith of the masses to replenish the positive karma of the native Kami.
The theology is an essential part of a religion, but useless by itself;
it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Shinto is
normally used in combination with the Buddhist operating system: the whole system
is basically Buddhism with Shinto added, or Shinbutsu shuugo. All the so-called "Shinto"
distributions are really distributions of Shinbutsu shuugo.

116 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10326 00:53

>>115
If the album is released in the United States of America, the record label will (hopefully) register their copyright for it with the U.S. Copyright Office. They will do so with the "Group Registration of Published Musical Works" procedure unless they would rather pay the filing fee for each individual song. The application form for this procedure will ask them to list a title for the album, which is then its title as far as the U.S. government is concerned, even if the packaging refrains from communicating this regrettable fact to the hoi polloi.

Additionally, the record label itself, distributors, retailers, etc. will probably assign an internal title for its own paper pushing purposes.

Yeah I thought about it in the context of kids learning to lie as a marker of intellectual development. Malice requires enough abstraction to understand the self, what would consist of a reward for the self, probably some amount of object permanence and a means to distinguish consequence in the future. It sounds like a very complex cognitive process. I guess cognition implies enacting suffering on each other.

oh shit i didn't see this before i started talking shit about QR codes in the other thread

my beef with QR codes is that 99% of the usage is for URLs and OCR technology is such that URLs can be scanned just as easily, so the only purpose a QR code serves is to obfuscate the URL so that humans can't read it. I know that's the whole point, but I hate it.

I'm looking for a image that was common around 2011 but i cant find it anywhere anymore. It was like a 4 pane comic:

  1. some guy asking another guy if they have a pill for homosexuality
  2. the guy says err.. no
  3. the guy asking says that's a damn shame
  4. it zooms out on a factory labeled homosexuality pills and the guy laughing

If anyone has information about this elusive comic, please come forward.

a shortened URL absolutely takes up less space than one of those QR codes. literally the whole point of URL shorteners is to make URLs more human-usable, and we're talking about human use. why wouldn't we use them here?

>>159
It's not, but regardless, also easily fixed by URL shortening. This has even already been done by some URL shorteners. My own employer, for example, has an URL shortener that shortens everything 'employer.com/123456789' (some number). Easily read by OCR.

171 Name: ((●)トェェェイ(●)) : 1993-09-10329 21:23

>>170 if you have a phone, they're both exactly the same level of human-usable. point your phone camera at the URL or QR code, it scans and takes to you the URL. If you don't have a phone, a QR code is completely useless, but an URL is not. there's literally no drawback.

I presume that the biggest use case for QRs is not to scan stuff on your phone, but for dedicated low power embedded devices to read stuff as fast and with as little ambiguity as possible for logistics, fulfillments, supply chain management, etc. Scanning URLs from physical mediums is just a nice extra and something not a lot of people do at any rate.

>>185 it clearly makes sense in industrial applications i just think it's awful that every laundry machine, restaurant, and vaccination site (the three actual examples in my life, affecting literally everyone i know) has adopted them since covid started. so if you count 'number of qr codes scanned', the number one user is probably amazon, federal express, or toyota, sure, and there's no problem with that. but if it's 'number of people using qr codes' then probably the #1 user is restaurants or some other public-facing application now.

I can't help but feel that every OS is getting uglier and uglier and less and less usable with each new version.
Windows 11 looks like shit and is a downgrade from Windows 10 in almost every regard (with the exception of maybe WSLg, which as of right now is more of a fancy tech demo than something actually usable).
I've heard nothing good about recent MacOS versions.
And virtually every Linux DE designed for normal people is in a state of decay, both the inconsistent UIs and poorly maintained, bloated codebases. If you're autistic and use a tiling WM you spent 10000 hours configuring, you're probably unaffected.

I suspect that we're soon to reach a point where the combined lack of vision in the tech industry and the increasingly unmaintainable code of all current operating systems will result in some new corporation coming in and shitting out the OS of the future, complete with even more tracking and restrictions. Probably Google.

only 1% of sperm would get to the destination, unless penis had a sucking in function somehow. This sucking organ would've been 5 times bigger than male balls, and would've been unactive for the most of human's lifetime, just taking space. Just terribly unefficient all around. You would need a way to clean it of sucked in dust or something like that, this means extra excretions. Plus sperm needs a temperature a bit lower than the rest of the body, this means this female would still need balls and would still need the channel to deliver sperm from balls into the sucking penis. If you go that far, might as well just deliver all the way into the female's body. It is probably possible to have semen production without balls, but resulting semen probably wouldn't be able to move as freely or something, human body probably has its temperature for a reason, to kill as much of alien organisms that try to get inside as possible.

How many people here use Mona font or IPAMonaPGothic for viewing S_JIS art as compared to MS PGothic?
Mona-derived fonts have different glyphs for half-width and full-width parentheses. With MS PGothic at 16px, in "((" both brackets have the same shape but differing widths, while in Mona and related, the half-width bracket has a visually shorter glyph. Some S_JIS art takes the difference between the types of brackets into account (and was probably made by Mona users) while other AA does not (and was probably made by MS PGothic users).

In a hypothetical AA webfont, which variant would you prefer? Or is this a difference that no one alive other than me gives a shit about?

Je trouve les Noirs moins rebutants que les "ikemen" japonais aux cheveux blonds et à la peau bronzée. Ceux-là m'intimident vraiment et je ne sais pas pourquoi

Imagine being a mindreader in a foreign country. I assume real mindreaders are capable of hijacking deeper levels than just internal monologue, and those are language independent. In "made in abyss" there are mindreading monsters, incredibly dangerous shits. Imagine deep mindreading used before hiring somebody, or on politicians. Imagine opening somebody's skull physically as a prerequisite to getting to some positions.

If I replaced my eyeballs with iPhone cameras, the image quality that I see would be worse. Though it would be worse than my normal eyes while using glasses or contact lenses, it would still be something. I would be able to see, but I guess I would have to charge my battery for my eyes maybe multiple times per day. Also, I don't know if the science to convert a digital image signal to a brain image signal has been done yet.
