Does anyone know how to ask for a review of results?
Edurec 'request exam results review', but I not sure how long will they take to get back via email
I just wanna put this up there, especially for the year 1s out there. I know how anxious some of you guys are, some of it is the first time having went thru the GPA/CAP system.
Tomorrow result doesnt define who you are. You have already put in as much effort as you need for respective result. Many people have different goals, many people see grades differently and it is because you have different aspirations. I know some of you may feel like shit, its perfectly fine, you have to learn how to move on and do better. Don't beat yourself too hard.
That being said. I wanna warn everyone here, in caps, because this happened to my batch and I do NOT want it to happen to my fellow junior batch. Do not PM your coursemate and ask for their result so that you can flex on them. If you do receive some coursemate's message about their result, do note that that person may just be using his sample size and comparing against you. Be caution. And when he decides to tell you that your grades are below average and the average should be X.XX, don't heed into it. He is just being a dick and he just wanna flex to make him look superior to others.
Just be yourself in university, ignore those people and move onto the next semester :).
我心碎妳受罪 妳的美我不配 :(((
I look forward to my treat thanks

Just wondering how many people is as mad as me. Haven’t had a proper sleep since Sunday.🥲🥲🥲
hellooo has anyone booked and attended a session with their career advisor before? would like to ask about how your experience was like! e.g. what did yall talk abt, did you have to prepare anything before going, did you get more clarity after the session/was it helpful etc.
Im currently holding the NUS merit scholarship (Y2 CS) but im afraid that im unable to meet the minimum cap of 3.5. 😭😭 how common is it for nus to withdraw their scholarships from students who are unable to meet the cap requirement? and how would they do so? will a warning letter be sent first?
As an international student coming to NUS in the spring, I am a little curious about what the day to day life is like. How strict are the covid restrictions and have there been any announcements for changes in the spring semester? Also, are all classes going to be online in the spring and if not, where can we check to see if it is online or in person? Thanks and any other info on day to day life is appreciated
I'm currently a student at a large state school in the USA, and am considering applying for a student exchange program at NUS. I am a 2nd year Computer Science major - so far, I have a pretty high GPA.
However, I have heard that NUS has a reputation for being very hard. To what extent is this true?
am a Y3 who's starting to look for summer internships and yes like what the post title says, I have only heard back from a few companies despite applying since mid of previous semester. I had my second interview with the company A one month ago and followed up with them two weeks ago. interviewer said will put me through the process but it has been two weeks and I have yet to hear back from them. Should I email them and ask? im hesitant because (i)in the last email, they said will put me through the process and will lmk if they need more info (ii) the entire process took way too long and i feel like i should just take it that im rejected. (iii)it's embarrassing cause if I follow up again, they would know that I have yet to find a summer internship even though it has been a month already
the other thing is im burnt out from this internship search and it seems like im not prepared for the workforce at all. the thing is i apply to less known companies as well and it hurts that I can't even get an interview despite being a Y3. I also realised that while I like my major, idk what I want to do in future and none of the internships I've looked at interest me. I'm mainly applying to get job exp and build my cv but I still put in effort in each and every application i sent out though
y1 math major kid here that needs to take cs1010s next sem...however I have ZERO programming knowledge whatsoever....am I just going to die....? any advice from anyone would be appreciated! (what do I do/what do I look out for/what I can do rn)
How did yall do? Stayed up all night but I feel indifferent towards my results tbh. Hope everybody reached their expectations and if you didn’t, take a breather and remind yourself grades aren’t everything.
Anyone ready to get blown away?😢😢Especially Y2s as this time S/U won’t be saving u.
Hello has anyone gotten their sem 2 results for hall yet? I've heard some of my friends' statuses say "accepted" alr but mine is still "pending" :(
as we all know, tomorrow is the day™ and I don't think I can sleep tonight.... I've been in NUS for 3 sems now and the anxiety before results day still hits me the same. I've had my fair share of good and bad results for major exams and I keep visualising in my head opening univus, seeing a C and feeling my heart drop and to some extent I'm trying to assume that I've alr done badly so I won't receive a rude shock LOL
does anyone else relate? or any seniors whose nerves for results day got better over time? HAHAHAH pls share
A few months ago, I shared my grades and a small little reflection https://www.reddit.com/r/nus/comments/npgxpu/my_results_for_the_sem
I told myself that I'm going to continue with the tradition of sharing my grades - good or bad. It's anonymous anyway. And my reason for doing so is so that others who are not doing so well academically know that they're not alone and can see a little hope. I also hope nobody sees this as a boastful post, because really, there's nothing to boast about my CAP.
My grades (3 core mods & 1 CS/SU mod):
A-, B+, B-, CS
Cumulative CAP: 3.4
I was really happy because this is actually my FIRST EVER A in my entire university life (though it's an A-). I've sort of given up the hope of getting an A but I finally got my first ever A 'variant' and I'm really proud of myself. It's funny that at this point, I'm still doubting myself. But I did put in a lot of effort for the projects and revision so I really should give myself credit for it, no matter how 'easy' the module was.
Some reflections:
- I made the decision of dropping a mod I knew I couldn't keep up with. It was not an easy decision because it meant that I'd have to take another extra module next semester. But knowing how challenging CS3230 is, I decided that was the right thing to do. A part of me also wanted to not drop it and just scrape by but I felt it was a waste and searched for another mod I'd actually be interested in as a replacement next sem
- I scored a B- for my most clueless module, CS3230. I honestly thought that I was going to fail and I kept doubting myself as usual. But turns out, I was just overthinking. I still did my best and focused on trying to complete the module and I'm so happy with getting a B-
- This sem, I surrounded myself with more friends. This was also probably why I felt less dead, AND IT REALLY HELPED. We discussed tutorials and cleared our doubts together. It also gave me a little confidence boost whenever our answers were the same, or when I managed to help my friends with the answers - the truth is, we are sometimes better than we think we are!
What's next?
My time in university is soon coming to an end, with one more semester left. I can't do much about my past grades and I'm not expecting a very drastic change in my CAP - it'll probably be around the 3.5 range if I'm lucky, but I've been focusing on enjoying the modules and I think it helped made the past few semesters more bearable. I say bearable because I'm not gonna to lie, I still struggled in the previous semester as I always do, but it definitely felt better.
I'm also still sourcing for an internship (with not much luck so far).
I hope your grades turned out to be a nice surprise for you. Otherwise, what matters is that you did your best and you're well rested for the next semester. Don't give up, and hit me up if you need a chat!
If you're struggling to decide whether to SU a B, damn, you're one smartie and I unfortunately can't relate, but remember to enjoy your holidays too!
Wishing you all the best in the coming semester!
Just got the email that I was accepted for SEP (FASS) but am super confused where to see the offer as I only see application status as 'ext study submitted' on Global Education page. Can anyone help?
Hello!
Does anyone know the process to apply for LOA?
I checked the website and all it said was apply on edurec but we also need to inform our faculty and so on? I’m not even sure which email for the SoC faculty I’m suppose to inform :”)
Reasons for applying LOA is to take a non-credit bearing internship.
I already came up with a study plan for the upcoming semesters and I’m sure I can graduate on time. Im just worried my LOA may not be approve.
Anyone have any advice or experience with the procedure?
Hi! I got rejected for sem 2 hall application :(. I'm quite desperate to get a spot as I live quite far. Does anyone have any advice on how to make my hall appeal more effective??? Thanks! raffles was my first choice btw
