Congratulations Regional Scholastic Awards Recipients!
-
How Does This Work?
Each fall, entries are judged by panels of highly-qualified professionals who select Gold Key winners who go on to compete at the national level. More than 1,500 students receive national awards each year. Past winners include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford and Joyce Carol Oates. Students should create accounts at https://ors.artandwriting.org/Login and upload their works through the national site.

Three hundred Harris County teens from public, private, charter and home schools were honored as recipients of regional Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key Awards through a 2015 reception. The Glassell Junior School at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston co-hosted the event to showcase the talent. Several teen Gold Key recipients comment on their visionary art and writing entries through these series of videos. Check out these messages from local Harris County teens.
