It was great meeting with Indonesia's Ambassador Mahendra Siregar today. We discussed the South China Sea, Afghanistan, Hamas, and how to expand and create a more balanced trading relationship between our two countries.

This take is not only offensively terrible but also dilutes the struggle and voices of women back home. A structure of imperialist feminism is the politics of rescue which places women “back home” as if they need saving and not political agents with autonomy and voices.

Cool. Keep in mind though, if a country appoint itself the world police and the defender of human rights everywhere, they have ownership in all the atrocities they choose to turn a blind eye to. (Yemen, Palestine, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, et cetera.)
