Just to make a general post I'm creating this. If anyone doesn't know, discord servers got taken down for violating "Intellectual Property or other rights" This doesn't mean anything will happen to the servers but I personally was waiting for something like this to happen eventually.
Current options I'm looking at are selfhosted(but most are limited) or Guilded.
Is this subreddit next? Probably not, a much bigger subreddit r/wowservers exists and is why mapleservers exists today. They have had no such issues.

I mean can we expect an official old maple server at this rate then? I really don't know why official server players/streamers seem to think we would want to play that garbage if we were stripped of Private servers. I recall seeing people talk about OSM streamers taking away from real maple players streams lol. If I don't want to play new maple why on earth would I want to watch it?
Frankly why would you want an official OS MS? Gacha cost a dollar. 2x EXP coupons will be a thing. It’d be terrible IMO.
I'd imagine most servers had download links, I wonder if not having any of that would be any different. Unless just being related to the server is enough to have it removed.

They are the same ones that some time ago deleted stream and YouTube accounts
I was in Revival, Phoenix, corpses of MG2, Clover, Luna, StoryMS, Legends, few korean ones, all gone (even never released like Boswell)
Server itself is fun but discord management is a mess.
Discord can be a shit show at times due to specific players (smol/Plop) who always try to get in the last word. If you don’t agree with her opinion, she will attack you until you either give up or stop replying. It’s her way or no way.
Smol is nice to new players and answers questions, putting up a fake front. But if you search her comment history on discord, she is one of the most toxic people in a condescending way. Players that have played since launch stay away from her and now she is grasping at new players. She thinks she is “always right” and tries her best to correct people.
Join if you can play without relying on help from discord. But even in-game, if you run into her, she will keyboard warrior the crap out of you if you disagree with anything she says. If getting bullied and being talked at is your thing, this is the server for you.

I would like to ask a question but I want everyone to participate and give their opinion about it, but always with respect.
What characteristics should have a server to be considered good and people play it, what would be the ideal server for you?
Pros: Fresh experience compared to the shithole of v83s out there.
Cons: Bugs everywhere(understandable)
Owner and devs do not balance skills properly and simply push out drastic balances and expect you to live with it until next change.
Botters are not banned.
Fishing is a great afk system but you can potentially triple your 300k buy-in cost every hour per character hence many people are running mules.
Server population is inflated due to fishing mules.
Meso gain is a pain, shadowers can earn from meso drop due to the scarcity of meso and at least double their meso gain( and that is a conservative estimate)
Donation points are tradeable, hence you can essentially pay your way to the top. However, as you can only purchase cosmetics/vip rocks, they do not consider that p2w.
Mulestory. I've seen people leeching their mules at LHC. Se, ada, hs, meso up mules together. This server is really all about mules.
Conclusion: This server is essentially running a second buggy beta( like dota2), and some bugs are annoying, like dcing every 10mins for mechs or just downright game breaking, like 1500% magic damage for evans instead of 180%. Some bugs were fixed but more appear. Feel free to try out, but just don't touch dualblade.

seems like it detects cobra. probably reads everything a player does on his computer when hes playing the game. bet they did that to spy on the hackers if someone is using cheat engine / searching for hacks on the web. anyways i think im gonna uninstall. :/
I have a M1 Chip Macbook on big sur and I was wondering if theres any maplestory server that is compatible with my hardware and software. I know maplelegends is compatiable but I dont want to pay money to buy crossover.

Well as the title already says. I have played maplestory way to much but i quit like 5/6 years ago.
Now looking on youtube i find the urge to play maplestory getting bigger and bigger. Now i just want to find a good and fun server. Played a bit of GMS couple weeks but i dont really know the new style of maplestory.
Some one can help me with a good server for a casual player.
PS im not native english so maybe my senteces are a bit off.

I'm looking for a good nostalgia trip with Maplestory and selected MapleRoyals as my ideal server. However, when I try to run it, Windows Defender identifies the trojan "Tiggre!fn". When Googling this, it seems to be an actual trojan. But I got to the MapleRoyals site from the sidebar and downloaded it from there. Should I be concerned...?
I know private servers usually generate false positives, but I just want to be 1,000% sure here
