There is no autosave/autocheckpoints.
Oh and... You have only 3 savegame slots. You know, since your terabytes of free space are not enough to make more save points.
Horrible.
The game states that it is inspired by the 90s rpgs. Did you really expect autosaves?
Personally, I didn't. And so far I am happy with the frequent amount of save statues standing around waiting for me. And so far there has always been an save statue nearby a boss fight.
Like the boss where you save the frogboy? The save statue is right outside the door. Save before you go in, save when you get out. Easy peasy.
"Inspired" doesn't mean "deal with a buggy game". It wouldn't even be a problem if the game was at least stable, did you even read our comments? I'm not sure how that makes us spoiled (and kids for that matter), but thanks for your input.
