Metaverse
This section is a bit long, so here is a summary:
Considering where we were at the dawn of the Internet, where we are now, and more importantly, where we
are going, it is
inevitable that shared virtual spaces will change our public and private lives.
To use the Internet, you need a computer.💻 And to spend time in a virtual space, what you need is an
avatar.👥
Everyone has the authority to choose their appearance freely. Avatars are an
integral part of the metaverse.
We will create an avatars with two peculiarity and develop pets that match the
era of the
metaverse. One peculiarity will be a metaverse-native appearance. The other is features specific to the
metaverse.
A pet with an excellent but slightly
playful AI and looks like a Pokémon. Also, we plan to create pets with bizarre
appearances.🍗 🍤 Lovely, isn't it?
They are the metaverse native. In short, they are things that will be designed and created in a digitally
native space
from the beginning, rather than being "transplanted" from the real world.
If the premise of the experience is different, the content is entirely different.
What do you think about Metaverse?
In researching the metaverse, we realized that most of us have "Similar
Ideas" about
it: "Can we bring what is happening in the real world into the metaverse?
When we do that, what will happen?"🤔💭
The Metaverse will fail. If we continue with the same ideas,
we had before when the Second
Life. The point here is that
the metaverse is not about "transplanting" things from the real world into digital space.
The real killer apps will not be the ones that can be transplanted from the real world into the metaverse.
An essential change will occur in the era of the metaverse. It is that things will be designed and
created in virtual
space from the beginning.
In the beginning, many smartphone games were ported or tried to reproduce those made for consumers🎮, but
they have
shifted to games entirely made for smartphones.📲 A similar phenomenon also will happen with avatars in the
metaverse.
If the premise of the experience is different, the content is entirely different.
Creating an avatar is our 1st goal.
One of the essential things in the era of the metaverse is the avatar.
We believe that "in virtual space, it is everyone's fundamental
right to choose their appearance without
being
constrained by innate
attributes freely."
Bringing avatars that look like the real world into the metaverse will be exciting in the early
stages. Still,
people will gradually create avatars based on the premise that they are in the metaverse.
As of now, we are planning to make avatars with two peculiarities. One peculiarity is the metaverse native appearance. The
other is the metaverse native features.
Appearance and Features:
As for now, it is difficult to present what specific features and appearance they have because the metaverse
we want to
dive into has not yet appeared, so we will have to wait until it does.
To be honest, the popular SANDBOX is
not what we are looking for. The ideal is an immersive virtual space.
Everyone on our team loves Pokémon, so we think it would be great if avatars that look like the
characters
in that game had metaverse native features.
Perhaps you may feel that there is no consistency between SOLG and Pokémon. SOLG was created based on the
concept of images that give a soft and friendly impression, unlike other NFTs. This idea
doesn't change when we make avatars.
By the way, will Metaverse pros be satisfied with existing standard avatars? Probably not.
An avatar that is specific to the metaverse will be needed.
What body parts do you need in
virtual space?
A simple example would be a body with large eyes, no need for a nose, and a few
substitutes for hands and feet: Maybe, the extreme shape is like the image of a Martian or a famous
monster.👾 It may look a little scary, but that's also our concept to create.
We're going to put some playful features in the avatar. Humor is always a good thing.
The 2nd goal is to develop a pet that will make your time in the Metaverse more
enjoyable.
A small company run by one of our team members is developing an artificial general
intelligence to predict house prices as part of its
real estate
business. Specifically, the AI uses Gradient Boosting Decision Tree(GBDT) and Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP)
models, etc.
We will use these and image recognition to create a pet with a brilliant but slightly playful AI.
Imagine companion pets that look like the Pokemon; wouldn't it be fun to hang out with them?
Also, we plan to create pets with bizarre appearances, for example, Juicy Roasted Chicken and
Fried
Shrimp flying in the sky.🍗 🍤
As of now, we think Meta(Facebook)
and Microsoft will be the
most significant players in the
Metaverse. 🤔💭 Maybe Apple, too.
And Microsoft and Meta will clearly compete heavily in the metaverse era. For this reason,
we want to make avatars that meet both of their standards. When you dive into the metaverse with a nice
avatar, you will more enjoy your time in the virtual space.🥳
Of course, there are a lot of avatars out there right now, 2D and 3D, whatever their appearance is.
But what
we will
create is an avatar for the era of the metaverse. This is a metaverse native avatar, rather than the
existing similar avatars used in boring Zoom or Teams meetings.🦸♀️
