შაბათს ქართველებმა ადგილობრივ არჩევნებში ხმა მისცეს. ჩვენ მივიღეთ მონაწილეობა როგორც დამკვირვებლებმა თავისუფალი და სამართლიანი საარჩევნო პროცესის უზრუნველსაყოფად. ეს გახლავთ საარჩევნო უბანი #მარნეულში. გარემო მშვიდი იყო და ხალხი მონაწილეობდა პროცედურაში.

On Saturday Georgians casted votes in local election. We participated in observation to help them ensure free and fair election process. This is a polling station in Marneuli. It was calm and people were following the procedures.

I conveyed CEC Chairperson Mr Kalandarishvili Japan's strong supports for CEC's role in order to ensure fare and free election in accordance with international standards. We welcome CEC's new initiatives in recent weeks and look forward to observing the October election.

Congratulations to all Georgian Paralympians for your excellent performance at #Tokyo2020 ! You have embodied its motto "Unity in Diversity." In June Georgian #Paralympic Committee and wheelchair fencing athletes showed me practice match. They won silver medal !

Sorry for not tweeting some time. Now I am back and update you. First Tokyo 2020. I was at the Ceremony in Tbilisi in July before the games to wish the athletes for success. As we all saw excellent results in judo, wrestling and weight lifting. Congratulations !

Japanese Garden at Batumi Botanical garden established in 1912. Probably the oldest in the former Soviet space. Many plants brought from Japan then are still there ! Its history is unknown to Japan and we want to discover more. What was Japanese gardener Kanayama's first name ?
