they use one of my animations as a default Alert.

But I asked around 4ish years ago to please give credit as they didn't ask to use it.

1- the code is open source because its OBS' code so like yeah
2- are you (as a concept) open source as you say if half your features are behind a paywall/subscription wall?

2 depends on what license OBS is using and what type of feature is behind a pay wall.
There are open source licenses in which I could just add one minor thing and make that thing completely proprietary, even closed source as long as I'm leaving the original open and referenced
