A Partial Lunar Eclipse (moon in earth's shadow) will occur early Friday morning. Sadly it looks like viewing conditions across much of NL will not be conducive for seeing it. #nlwx

Tonight/tomorrow there'll be a partial (but almost total!) lunar eclipse. In Germany we'll only see the penumbral phase, but if you're in the Americas, Oceania or East Asia then you're in for a treat.

In about 2 hours, we will have the longest partial lunar eclipse since 1440. The next time we will have a partial lunar eclipse this long will be on February 8, 2669. Unfortunately here in Kathmandu we will get to see only the end if the weather permits. https://timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2021-november-19…
I've set my tweeter up to repeat this a few times today... get outside and check out the eclipse tonight. Starts at 2202 pacific, 2302 mountain, 0002 central 0102 eastern. The event is expected to last over 6 hours total.

The longest partial lunar eclipse in almost 600 years will be visible tonight!
Viewers in Melbourne will get a treat as the peak coincides with the moonrise around 8pm.
