Diplomacy is not about welfare, access to resources, and war - if the basic principles of dignity, justice, and hopeful sanctuary are not in alignment. So what if Japan “did things”. My pulse is less about what “they did” and moreso on the causal response and repercussions.

Korea: eating disorders, suicide, mental health challenges, plastic surgery, astronomical rates of stress, binge drinking and alcoholism, homophobia, transphobia, queer phobia. These outcomes are all - I mean all - interrelated to historical poverty, colonization & resistance.

Japan: loners, awkward, kamikaze trolls, classic guerrilla tactics of disarm & taunt. I’m sure lots of Japanese people are dope and amazing. But I’m specifically talking about the “haters” on my timeline. It’s amusing because I knew you in high school. It’s classic male nature 🤷🏻‍♀️
