Christy (Crowdus) Clements Gough, 49, of Uniontown, passed away on October 31, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN after a difficult battle with Covid-19. Christy was born April 3, 1972, to Benny and Patsy (Bullock) Crowdus in Henderson, KY. After graduating from Union County High School in 1990, she went on to study nursing at Henderson Community College. Christy worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years with a majority of her career in the Emergency Room department at Union County Hospital. She spent her life dedicated to providing compassion and care to those within the community. Christy was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her sons, Ryan and Jacob, and husband, Jeff. She was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown and taught religious education classes. She loved spending time at the beach searching for shark teeth and laughing with her family, and sitting by the pool with her two dogs, Roxie & Henry. Christy is survived by her husband of 16 years , Jeff; her children, Lyndsey Gough, Logan Gough, Ryan Clements, and Jacob Gough; her father, Benny Crowdus; and her sister René (Jeff) Fritts of Marion. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Crowdus; and her grandparents. The funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday November 4, 2021 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, KY. Father Bruce McCarty will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Wednesday and 8 AM until service time Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home, Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 7:30 PM Wednesday . Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for Christy Gough's children at Whitsell Funeral Home or Old National Bank, 130 N. Morgan St, Morganfield, KY 42437.
