Obituary

Kenneth Ray (Poncho) Sharp, 71, of Roxton, Tx passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, in Albuquerque, NM. Kenneth was born on August 11, 1950, in Dallas, Tx, to Charlie Simmons and Ruth (Marlow) Simmons. Kenneth was a diesel mechanic and loved to work.  When he wasn't working as a mechanic, he was working in his garden.  

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Roden-Pryor Funeral Home, 425 S. Church St., Paris, TX.  Visitation will be from Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roden-Pryor Funeral Home.  Internment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Kenneth is survived by three sons, Kevin Sharp of Sulphur Springs, Tx, Kenneth Sharp and wife Amber of Yantis, Tx, and Thaddeus Sharp and wife, Jinnie of Powderly, Tx., three daughters, Ashley Sharp and Cody Dollins of Paris, Tx, Krista Hornbuckle and husband, Clayton of Roxton, Tx, and Jamie Lloyd of Paris, Tx.  Also, three brothers, Charlie Simmons of Paris, Tx, Tony Sharp of Antlers, OK, and Gary Sharp of Tx.  Kenneth is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Jerry Sharp and Lewis Simmons, and a sister Debra Simmons. 

Funeral arrangements are being provided by Roden-Pryor Funeral Home, Paris, Tx.
