Met with Akihisa Mizuno, Vice Chairman of the Chubu Economic Federation, and exchanged views on the future of U.S.-Japan Economic Partnership in the Chubu region. The United States is also working to promote startup development, diversity, and women's economic participation.

Thirty years ago I spent a year in Yokohama on the JET program. It was exciting returning this week to meet Mayor Yamanaka and talk about longstanding connections, including our Japanese language school and Yokohama’s sister city relationship with San Diego.
