With Intermountain's ICUs currently above their capacity, vaccination status remains a significant factor in determining whether someone will need high-level care for COVID-19. Here’s a snapshot of patients with COVID-19 currently admitted to Intermountain hospitals, 1/

including those who need care in an ICU and be placed on a ventilator to help them breathe. The Numbers: On average, vaccinated patients that are admitted for COVID-19 are 20 years OLDER than unvaccinated COVID admissions and have double the number of baseline health problems.

Important sub-point: when over half the population is vaccinated, raw numbers like this will understate the true effect of vaccination. With ~70% of Utah vaccinated, we would expect 70% of the hospital beds taken by the vaccinated if the vaccine wasn't doing anything

No, actually we wouldn’t because the vaccine prevents 97% of people from contracting Covid PERIOD PLUS 97% of THAT 3% of being hospitalized, Brainiac.

If they got Covid before the 14 days after the shot or between doses then they weren’t fully vaccinated when they got Covid. I don’t got how their tweet isn’t being transparent? The vaccine companies say that you aren’t fully vaccinated until 14 days after your second shot.

If a patient’s oxygen levels are too low despite being on a ventilator, ECMO is the next step. ECMO pumps the blood out of the patients body into a machine for oxygen, then pumps it back into the patient. Truly it is last ditch effort to save a patient. Mortality is high for both

It would be nice if you invited all the #utleg to come tour the COVID units again. Also all the county commissions that are overriding the idea of facemasks in schools. Maybe work with Primary Children's to get them to tour the COVID and MIS-C units there too

When did you sell out ? Clearly the Chart says "Not Fully Vaccinated" which includes those with only ONE Vaccine shot. You refer to them as "Unvaccinated" which is not the same thing, is it? Now are you calling those that have not had TWO Vaccine shots "Unvaccinated?"
