What are the pitch of the pins?

Answer:

They fit standard 0.1" perf board just fine. The actual pitch of the pins is 0.2".

Are these 5mm (0.197 in) or 5.08mm (0.2 in)?

I don't have a micrometer, but they fit in 0.2" spaced holes.

Are the pins long enough to use in breadboard?

Not on par with listed terminal blocks but decent for a home project

I've been working with power plant and factory controls for thirty years, terminals blocks are something I deal with almost daily. The quality of these terminals is not on par with what we use in our PLC/DCS/SCADA systems; the materials are too soft and the insulator bodies deform with little force applied at the screw. These are stamped CE and ROHS, but I don't see any UL or FM so I can't use them at work for insurance reasons anyway.

They are still good for home projects though, and the stuff I work with is dozens of times the price. Its why I bought these, I can't afford the stuff I work with.... I would put these in 48 volt or less systems carrying signal but not power. They have a locking side on the plastic block, use it in pairs or more to add mechanical strength to the installation. I'm guessing these were destined for life in phone service before I put them in my remote controlled airplane.

Had several that the screws were stripped and useless. Issue with these is the wire being used has to be solid core or of substantial diameter gauge to push the retainer plate up. I had to push the retainers open with a small screwdriver prior to inserting 22 gauge wires.

These connectors work well on PCBs. My only complaint is that the style of the screw connections sometimes make entering and tightening a wire a little difficult. The screw connections don't always open enough to let a wire enter freely. However, once in place, the connectors work very well. Recommended.
