Console Im having a hard time switching weapons mid battle. I miss the fo4 cross with 4 wespons tied to the Dpad in all directions. The radial is just not as fast. And i can use left d pad to switch to the previous equipped but didn't seem dependable. How are you switching to melee mid battle?
Take this scenario.
Equip a shotgun via favorites or pip.
Then use the favorites to equip a pistol.
Now using the left d pad you will swap pistol to shotgun.
If you want to change the shotgun to something else. Make sure your holding it then
left on the d pad to pistol.
Now use your favorites wheel to choose another weapon.
It will equip the chosen weapon but when you left d pad it’ll go back to the pistol. The left d pad again and back to the chosen weapon.
It seems like it takes a lot of time to switch from my rifle to machete. Sometimes it will just ignore my press based on the current animation state and not switch as soon as the current animation ends.
Been making my wife super frustrated.
The left on the pad works great if you mainly use two weapons. I dont have a problem with it.
Use your Favorites numbers, not the wheel. I hate the wheel...lol
The order you favorite things in, is the order of number they are. To redo, unfavorite everything and start again.
1 is my .45 pipe revolver (use it most of the time) 2 is my shotgun (for when the .45 isn't getting the job done) 3 is my .308 scoped sniper (for long range targets)
Using the numbers helps me a lot more than the dumb wheel. Long range target press 3. Now close range target press 1.
I haven't tried this yet, I'm on PC but prefer a controller by the way, but I wonder if I can hotkey weapons to my keyboard??? I thought maybe I heard you can't use both.
To answer your question, I usually either have to run away and switch or just tank a hit or two while I deal with the radial menu.
Very new player here, i thought the stuff in the stash at other peoples camps were things they were just giving away. Turns out the crate is called “my stash” because it is in fact MINE.
I am going to take my time and read titles to things from now on.
I don't really know anything about DMVs, but from watching that DMV scene in Zootopia with the sloths and completing the DMV quest in Fo76, I have a feeling no one likes DMVs
The title says everything that needs to be saied. Everytime i am designing interior rooms it ruffles my sense of aesthetic because i am forced to leave one side without wallpaper. And frankly its driving me up the wall.
Pun intended.
EDIT : To all of you recomending the double-wall-trick to me: Thanks for that, i am already aware of it but as i already explained to the first person who responded with that suggestion : My camp-ideas are eating alot of budget already as it is so this is not realy a feasible way to solve this problem for me.
" Spawning: Mining Ultracite Veins no longer spawns Scorchbeasts or Scorched. "
why would you do that ! that was a good thing !
thank you all for your support, we need to push back when they do things like this. :D
I got ever hopped in and out for the responders quest. But I wanted to farm spooky scorched. I saw this really cool town but once I moved further down the runway I discovered the quarantine zone. That was so depressing, the responders doing everything in their might to stop the plague and all those helpless souls stuck in the quarantine zone. Bethesda may be Bethesda but their world building and locations are top notch.
Dear Bethesda,
As a deaf person playing video games can be quite challenging, and I am wondering if there is a different way of alerting me to the Holiday Scorched other than an audio cue - yes I can see the names when they show up, but I don't get an advanced heads up.
When the Mole Miners were first introduced my fiance would poke me to tell me one was in the area, but it eventually became tedious for us both. I no longer play these events, so if I find one cool, awesome; but I do not go out of my way to find them.
I know a number of deaf gamers who agree that there needs to be a level of inclusion; and I understand the flip side, that... its not possible to cater to everyone's wide range of needs. I just wish deaf People were... ironically heard more.
BTW I play on PlayStation
Rambling rant over... this is what I sent them
There isn't anywhere near enough positivity in this sub, so I figured I would share mine and balance the scales.
Just started playing a few days ago not expecting much and I've got to say that this is a damn good game. I know that may not have been the case before, but for me, as total newcomer, it's been amazing so far.
The world of Appalachia is beautiful and mysterious. I've barely scratched the surface and have already found so many great secrets and little stories. For some reason, I've never been drawn to explore as much as I have in previous Fallout games. Or any game really. For some reason, exploring in 76 doesn't feel like a chore.
Stumbled into The Motherlode today while exploring every building I could find. A great quest just hiding there. And the thought of what is still out there for me to find is exciting. This game scratches that itch for exploration and mystery just right.
I am also enjoying the main quest so far. Never thought that something without NPC interaction could work so well.
As a Fallout fan 76 feels like home.
Similar to when someone visits my shelter. It would be nice to keep track of how many candies are being taken, and to return the favor to those who stopped by.
But you're using it to kill all the spooky scorched at every event and then using the laughing emote to taunt everyone who can't get a hit in. You'd think that by level 1226 you'd have some manners or semblance of how to read a room, but you'd rather be the grown up playing against kids in basketball and dunking on them as if it's an accomplishment. We get it, you can aim, fire, and kill anything you want in a split second, but leave something for everyone else. Also, don't then use voice chat to tell us all to make private servers if we don't like it.
Had to rant, I know it's to be expected in any online game, but the guy was such a dick about it.
Out of the last couple of days I had 3 taken one day and 0 yesterday, I would have happily gone around and collected 10/15/20 pieces of candy each day (because I’m already doing that) for the challenges, but waiting for others to do it is just stupid and whoever thought it up didn’t think this challenge through
Credit, where credit is due.
As to me here it's definitely not.
I know a lot of people will call me toxic, but i for sure am not. I'm just stating facts. Facts, that make me feel more disappointed, than mad. Considering see, how a brand i have always loved is being treated so poor, lazy and with minimum to no effort.
I was there on mischief night, i loved that event, to me best there was, but i can understand, when for whatever reason they had problems with.
But truly not possible to find solutions make it run with 2 years time?
And if not, in 2 years, creating something new, that doesn't cause problems is that hard and impossible? Be it whatever new?
Here i can't, but am in total disbelief.
With 2 years time on creating a unique once-a-year event i can't imagine there's such big problems to create anything new. So sorry, if to me it looks very poor and like a total pathetic display, when it's at the end nothing but a reskin.
The more, when at the same time it's AGAIN the atom-shop only that seems to have the only stuff that is unique and new.
Unbelievable and disappointing. Once again.
So to me, that played earlier mischief and already own all rewards, this one here offers nothing!
As i believe i don't need a popcorn machine in my life nor in my camp.
Think of me what you want. but all i post is for the better of the game. NOT to spread negativity. It's the game's action that does for me. And i believe for a lot others.
And right now excuse me, when i feel like Bethesda wouldn't have even bothered creating literally nothing at all. When it wouldn't have hurt their atom-shop sales.
Disappointing much!
Seriously what is bethesda smoking? Just show me the number and not some stupid intervals that tell me nothing. It’s even easier to code, so why go out of your way to make it useless? Please do tell me
(apologies if this has been posted already) To get the popcorn machine, you have to complete both of the weekly "Give out candy" challenges. To get those, you must have given out at least five candies on FIVE of the days. The end of Day 3 closes in ~2 hours. If you didn't get the daily challenge on Tuesday or Wednesday, you need every one of the remaining five days.
Remember: fastest method is to get a friend, have them grab candy, STASH the bowl, put it back, repeat 4 more times. This resets the one hour timer.
Good luck!!
Just ran Collision Course with a Lvl 10 player. Several Spooky Scorched spawned, and I made sure the other player got a tag on all of them before I obliterated them. I was impressed with their skills and was going to drop them a nice amount of loot.
As I was going through my inventory and stuffing the loot bag, I saw they were running away so I popped off a shot and immediately used the "come here" emote. They stopped and turned, I used the "come here" emote again. They turned away, so I fired another shot, with the emote once more. They used the "thumbs down" emote and continued running away.
When a high level player runs an event with you, clearly making sure you get access to all the legendaries, chances are good they aren't gonna scam you or PVP you. If they call you over, it's to give you loot.
So am I missing something, but if you were say, working, or otherwise unable to play for the beginning of the event but played from today until the end, you would still be unable to claim the popcorn machine.
Don't get me wrong, I'm having fun. But I missed the Halloween daily by 1 visitor twice and couldn't play the other days. Managed to get 5 last night but I'm just not gonna hit the "weekly; give candies out 5 times for 5 days" thingy so I'll be missing out. Yes it's an easy challenge and only requires time really. But should a challenge not be focused on gameplay rather than Beth pushing numbers and rewarding how much time users spend?
I may have misunderstood and feel free to smite me a new one if I have but damn... it feels cheap
Edit; the point was never about the freaking popcorn machine (for the record I think its fun) but more so the fact the challenges have been set up stupid. Take your butthurt over camp cosmetics somewhere else
Edit 2; Oh and Bethesda, I know it's hard to please everyone, but it's REALLY obvious you're only trying to please the people with cash. And frankly it's a turn off. Sincerely. A great portion of your fan base xo
Happy Spooking everyone!
as the title says. The Halloween C.A.M.P. icon should only be active if there is candy in the bowl.
I don't know why but if you were to check my stash, I have one of each apparel item I've ever found. At this point I must have like 500+ items.
I don't wear many of these at all and I have no idea why I keep them. I've got pretty much everything now though. Fisherman's Hat, Ragged Dress, Scribe Uniform, Tshirt and Jeans, literally everything. I can't seem to part with any of these and I just scrap or sell duplicates.
Anyone else do this or am I just a lone clothing hoarder?
