多腕ダコがじわじわと
話題になってきているみたいなので
マリンランドの多腕ダコの生前の写真を
教えてもらいました。
入館当時・産卵・抱卵中・孵化した稚ダコの
順番の写真です。
腕の数え方は、吸盤が付いていれば
一本と数えて腕の数が96本だそうです。
稚ダコの腕は、皆8本だったそうです。

私も何度か数えようとして諦めていました(笑)
吸盤が付いていれば一本ということは
太い腕の裏に隠れている小さな腕も
たくさんあることになります。
当時の飼育員は何度も数えたそうです。
