MechWarrior 5 – How to Save

Never lose your progress by keeping up with your saves.
MechWarrior 5 - How to Save

You’ve bitten off more than you could chew, and now half your lance is dead and your mech is nearly out of the fight; if only you had saved! Well, I have good news for you: MechWarrior 5 liberally saves for you, and creating your own is easy to do.

Hit Esc and select save.

You can do this whenever you want, so long as you are not in a mission. Yeah, you can’t create your own checkpoints in MechWarrior 5, but you can ensure you have a save ready to go prior to a tricky mission. Thing is, you may not need to.

See, MechWarrior 5 saves itself whenever you enter a new system, or enter a mission. What this means is it’s easy to pick yourself up from any point prior to your destruction: load up a mission you walked away from, or load back to when you entered the system.

Replay

That said, you will still want to manually save when able. Let’s say you didn’t leave a system and repaired some mechs. You’ll want to save after. Maybe you edited your loadout: save that game. I say this, because if you find yourself in a mission with the wrong loadout of mechs, pilots, equipment, or any combination thereof, you’ll have to redo any repairs or edits you made after entering the system. So, hit that Esc key, click save, and select New (you can override an older one, but it’s best to hold on to them).

That’s how you save in MechWarrior 5. For more guides, be sure to keep an eye on our guides page.

Back 4 Blood: Karlee Guide

The lone wolf of the Cleaners is more than meets the eye

Karlee doesn’t really associate herself too much with the rest of the Cleaners in Back 4 Blood. Though, by having no real other option to survive the Ridden threat, she has chosen to fight with them. She might be a lone wolf, but definitely has the means of providing huge benefits to her teammates in combat.

What role does Karlee play in Back 4 Blood?

Karlee is an intel/recon character. You may wonder why a recon class would be necessary for a game where you essentially just bash through hordes of zombies. However, there are many things to look out for, specifically for players who are a bit too valiant and kill-hungry. If you are good with callouts, scoping the battlefield, and like to play a utility support role, Karlee is your gal.

Karlee’s abilities

  • Karlee can sense nearby hazards and mutations
  • +1 Quick inventory
  • Team Effect: +50% Team Use Speed

The best weapons to use for Karlee

Karlee is best used as a mid to long range Cleaner, so her ideal weapons would be assault rifles and snipers (if you have incredible aim). She starts off with a Tec 9 auto pistol, so make use of that when enemies get too close for comfort. Of course, this is just a recommendation. Karlee doesn’t benefit from using any weapon type in particular, so it is preferential. She just should not be played as a character who charges the front lines.

The best cards to equip for Karlee

Since Karlee is a recon class of sorts, you’d want to use cards that would increase her specific stats. Anything that boosts use speeds or scavenging abilities would greatly help her. Pair any of these cards in decks of 15 to make the most out of her.
