Just wanted to say as a pastor who has enjoyed so much of your work, and keeps working on creating a church that is both affirming and repentant of its history of queerphobia and transphobia, that you are seen and appreciated. Thank you for being you, Elliot. Blessings.

I hope you don't mind if I tag on to say, as an atheist who recognizes the real and positive value that faith provides to many, thank you so much for this.

PORQUE INSISTE PUTO LATIX, WEON? Porque no solo latino? Elliot suena racista diciendo la palabra X

Latinx functions as an English word to be a gender neutral way of saying Latino, or as a substitution for Latin American. It just shouldn’t be shoved into Spanish because the letter X is non-fuctional there.

Very happy for you! Congrats!
Do wanna mention onne minor nitpick though: wouldn't it be latinA trans women? Since they're women? Latinx / latine are good terms for inclusivity, but in a gender-specific context like this, it can read as misgendering.
Anyway have a Sylveon!

If you really wanna nitpick, you shouldn't be using Latinx or Latine because Spanish is not a gender-neutral language and most native speakers don't appreciate English speakers trying to change the language. You can use Latin@ instead of Latino/a, but Latino is gender neutral

When I came out as trans and chose my name, I put my thoughts on a table and tried to decide why the name I'd picked resonated with me so deeply.
My brain kept coming back to sharing a name with you.
I don't anymore, but I share something even better now

Lost me on "latinx".
We have a word for that. Actually a couple:
- Latin
- Latino
- Latin American
Stop trying to push your own invented words into our language and culture, please. No Latin person like that shit, and it only makes your own movement sound like a trend/fad.

At some point between birth and now, Elliot realized that they were no longer content identifying as a female and have chosen to change.
He did present as a cis female until today, true, but whether they were ever comfortable in that skin is a question for Elliot.

Did anyone else see how quick Wikipedia was to jump on this? Good on them. And congratulations, Elliot.

I can’t wait for him to climb the ladder quicker like other straight (assuming he still likes females as stated previously) white males. Do they still get 70% of the regular male wage or does that get bumped up to full pay now that he identifies as a male?

We love to see it. We'll take care of helping to deal with the bigotry that will surely come of this. Thank you for taking this step Elliot!

Why do ppl like this insist on using “they” or “them” as a pronoun for ONE person? These pronouns are meant to be used for two or more ppl

I see. I don't yet completely understand trans people, I think, as in, when someone comes out as trans, I'm like "oh, okay, I'll use these pronouns and this name then" and I don't think "they're not a real girl/boy" or whatever, but I really do wonder what it really is. >>

Sorry if this is rude, but when referencing you when you were living as female, what is the appropriate name/pronoun to use?
Do I say...
Elliot Page was in Juno, he was great
-or-
Ellen Page was in Juno, she was great
Anyway, congratulations on living your truth
