june2420111I left a long time ago after older people starting joining (my aunts, grandparents, friend's parents, etc). Then I was super grossed out when I read on a research paper that it was mostly used by men in relationships looking at the profiles of single women. We just need to stop using FB and Instagram, it doesn't add any positive value to our lives.

Rick SanchezThis is a power struggle between facebook and the left. They want complete control, even more so than they already have which is alot. Frances Haugen is a democrat operative working with former Obama administration deputy press secretary and democrat operative Bill Burton to pressure Facebook into compliance with an organization that will further police Facebook and other social media platforms. The disinformation campaigns they are referring to isn't their own propaganda but rather everything else that differs from it. These people really do seek an Orwellian 1984-esque thought police commission or "truth commission". This is all about power and controlling information. This is a power struggle between the left and social media which will continue to be a problem until truth is abolished. In other words if you think social media companies are bad now you've seen nothing yet. Imagine a far-left organization with complete control and authority over what is information and what is disinformation. I tell you no truth will survive these tyrants. philam1973I got rid of Facebook over 10 years ago. The breaking straw was when they tried to connect me to a camping friend’s son, trying to rate one of us as a good kisser. I hadn’t even met the boy and when I eventually did, I asked him if he had anything to do with the contact . Obviously Facebook tries to manipulate people to get more interaction and participation. A month later they put me in Facebook jail for something completely unrelated to the political sphere when a comment on a page for a law firm that has been going after the Catholic Church when I simply said that none of this crap happened before Vatican II. Within a week after getting out of Facebook jail on that instance I said that we are in a de facto dictatorship because of the way Biden is pushing his agenda and snap got put in Facebook jail again for 30 days the following time I managed to make it three weeks before getting put in Facebook jail again, having been put in Facebook jail around the time the Woodward and Bernstein book about General Mark Milley came out, when I simply said that he should be hung for treason. They said it was in Siteman and was advocating winching when it was simply advocating proper punishment under UCMJ based on what he already admitted. Essentially Facebook is persecuting people for what are essentially legitimate political opinions...

HumpydumpfFacebook is so incredibly onesided, just as 60minutes is sometimes, using the term "conspiracy theory" as something obviously false(as if conspiracies never occurs), talks about a "insurrection" that was extremely void of violence compared to all the other riots from the left. They also use the term far right very often but never call rioting "lefties" what they are, communists, extemists etc. All media is one-sided and brings a narrative. It's just that so many of them claim not to, that they are fair and are free of bias. Obiously, nobody is free from bias and one side of the political spectrum in USA has led to the feeling of extreme moral superiority from mainly the left side of the media and population spectrum. Therefor they riot and threaten extreme violence and are never punished. Instead the ruling institutions bring gasoline to these flames when they allow it and mostly endorces it while they try their hardest with mass-bullying and doxing techniques if anybody does the opposite. Try speaking out against the Cvacc in society and you'll see the same type of fake majority reasoning.

I think the vast majority of the world and its good people have become numb and desensitized as we see Facebook doing so little, with so barely any change time and again after a scandal after scandal. It’s like cycle of gun violence here in the US. Facebook came at a time when the social media business was new and government trying to figuring out how to manage this. I think it’s become clear that social media cannot be left to the “goodwill” and natural devices of greater society to manage itself. The problem is that the economic incentive system around this platform is broken. No company, no matter how novel or innovative the business model is too big to fail. The day when you allow Facebook or whatever social media to run for profit is the day you destroy the platform and it’s initial mission; Facebook has lost its way.

Hard HeadedRight or Left politics...FB has been in the incitement business for YEARS. Click bait has been all the rage. They have censored views that are in opposition of The Left and The Government, deleted people's profiles, banned people indefinitely, and yet STILL have ongoing REPORTED groups of pedophiles that are left to abuse and hunt. Censorship of ANY kind is anti-Liberty. It is against one of our fundamental rights as HUMANS (because no matter where you are in the world, The Bill of Rights is about Individual Freedoms that cannot and should not be taken away by government or any authoritarian body). Facebook assists in slavery. Facebook assists in abuse. Facebook assists is tyranny. Facebook assists in keeping people ignorant of the truth (yeah...the world is also full of lies, but that is reality, with or without Facebook, and Facebook is censoring FACTS). 60 Minutes is no better. They edit in one direction to feed its viewers a carefully crafted narrative. They have ALWAYS done this, and not until The Internet did we begin to see behind the curtain, because there was so much more that we could actually get about whatever issue. (which is why we had the Net Neutrality: it was a system that made it appear to give more to the consumer, but at the same time allowed the most powerful to empower themselves as the gatekeepers of information). Facebook, Inc is a poison.
