Psalm 2

 

The Reign of the LORD's Anointed.

 尊（ミコト）に油そそがれた者の治（オサメ）

 

 1 Why are the nations in uproar

　なぜ邦々（クニグニ）は大騒ぎし、

   And the peoples devising a vain thing?

　諸人（モロビト）は虚しい工夫をするのか？

 2 The kings of the earth take their stand

　地（ツチ）の諸（モロ皇（キミは立ち構え、（）

   And the rulers take counsel together

　司（ツカサ）達（タチ）は共に忠告し、

   Against the LORD and against His

　尊（ミコト）と、尊（ミコト）に油そそがれた者に逆い、

   Anointed, saying,

　こう言っている。

 3 "Let us tear their fetters apart

　「さあ、朕（わたし）達（たち）は彼らの足枷（あしかせ）を引きはがし、

   And cast away their cords from us!"

　彼らの綱を解（ほど）いて捨てよう！」

 4 He who sits in the heavens laughs,

　諸天（モロアメ）の座（ミクラ）につく方は笑い、

   The LORD scoffs at them.

　尊（ミコト）は彼らをあざける。

 5 Then He will speak to them in His anger

　ここに尊（ミコト）は、怒りをもって彼らに告げ、

   And terrify them in His fury, saying,

　激怒し彼らをおびえさせ、こう言っている、

 6"But as for Me, I have installed My King

　「しかし、朕（ワタシ）は、朕（ワタシの皇（スメラギをウチ立てた。

   Upon Zion, My holy mountain."

　朕（ワタシの聖（ヒジリなる山（ミヤマ）、シオンに。」

 7"I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD;

　「朕（ワタシは尊（ミコト）の勅（ミコトノリについて語ろう。

   He said to Me, "You are My Son,　

　尊（ミコト）は朕（ワタシに言った。『貴方（アナタ）は朕（ワタシの子。

   Today I have begotten You.

　今日、朕（ワタシが貴方（アナタ）を生んだ。

 8 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give

　朕（ワタシに求めよ。朕（ワタシは確かに与えよう、

   the nations as Your inheritance,

　邦々（クニグニ）を貴方（アナタ）への譲（ユズリ）として、

   And the very ends of the earth as

　地（ツチ）をその果（ハテ）の果（ハテ）まで、

   Your possession.

　貴方（アナタ）の所有としよう。

 9 'You shall break them with a rod of iron,

　貴方（アナタ）は鉄（クロガネ）の杖で彼らを打ち壊し、

   You shall shatter  them like earthenware.'"

　貴方（アナタ）は彼らを土器（カワラケのように粉々に砕く。』」

10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment;

　それゆえ、今。おお諸（モロ皇（キミよ、洞察せよ。

   Take warning, O judges of the earth.　

　おお、地（ツチ）の士師（サバキツカサ）よ、警告を受けよ。（）

11 Worship the LORD with reverence

　尊（ミコト）を崇めよ、敬いながら。

   And rejoice with trembling.

　大喜（）べ、震えながら。

12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way,

　子に口づけせよ。彼が怒り始め、貴方達が道中で絶命しないように。

   For His wrath may soon be kindled.

　彼の憤りはすぐに燃え盛りそうだから。

   How blessed are all who take refuse in Him!

　言（コト）祝（ホ）がれよ！彼の内（ウチ）に避難する全ての者達は。
